Leonard Fournette is now available... Maybe or nay?

    OUT
    DE Sharif Finch
    OG Jordan Roos
    CB Nick Nelson(?)
    OL Jordan Devey
    RB Rod Smith
    WR Tyrell Williams (IR)

Raiders also traded Sharpe and a 7th for a 6th. Honestly, most of these moves seem solid. Devey wasn't very good, and Sharpe was about the 7th best OL on the Raiders last season.

Now that he has cleared waivers, I could see the Raiders put in a one-year, incentive-laden offer. He may just need a change of scenery.

Nah my Raider brother...Tampa Bay is getting him. New England was his other supposed choice.

I saw that. TB is going to be an interesting team. Lots of things have to click, but if they do, they could be a contender.

    OUT: Damarius Randall

I had Randall tied with Harris with the highest grade at Safety. Jeff Heath trailed only slightly and Joyner wasn't far behind. I understand the move, but I neither love it nor hate it.

? I thought Randall was somewhat of a shoe-in to make it?

OK, it has to be asked... Adrian Peterson? Short yardage to spell Jacobs?

I like AP, but I’m not sure he’s versatile enough.

    MY Rankings

    QB
    IN: Carr, Peterman
    OUT: Mariota (IR), Kizer (P)
Ranking: Carr and Mariota are the best players here, but I think Kizer is the better longterm play over Peterman. At least they brought him back to their practice squad.

    RB
    IN: Jacobs, Ingold, Richard, Booker
    OUT: Bowden, etc.
Rank: Jacobs and Ingold are one of the best RB/FB combos in the league. Bowden is the only player not on roster worth discussing. If the Raiders thought he wasn't ready for RB duties, I get it. They're relatively deep at WR, too.

    TE
    IN: Waller, Moreau, Witten, Carrier
Rank: Waller is #1, but Witten is a good all-around player with vet savvy, so he gets the nod over a surprisingly good Moreau (with a high upside). I'm really interested in seeing Moreau's growth and how Witten holds up.

    WR
IN: Ruggs, Edwards, Renfrow, Gafford, Jones, Agholor
    Out: Williams (IR), Ateman, Doss
Rank: Ruggs and Renfrow are their best WRs on day 1. Williams would have been next. After that, I've got Edwards and Gafford. Jones has talent, but we haven't seen him put it together. In the past four seasons, Agholor has posted two forgettable seasons and two top 80 seasons as a WR.

    OL
IN: Hudson, Jackson, Incognito, Brown, Miller, Parker, Simpson, Good, James, Young
    OUT: Sharpe
Rank: Hudson, Incognito, and Brown lead the way, but Miller, Good, and Jackson are all solid as well. Miller might break into the elite category this year. Sharpe had probably shown more than anyone else who made the roster. This is a make or break year for Parker.

I'm impressed by our depth everywhere on offense. If Agholor is your 4th to 6th WR, you have two NFL starting QBs, and you have six OL who can start, you're doing a lot right.

Jacobs...3 TDs. Kwiatkoski and Trent Brown both injured, hopefully nothing serious.

Almost had a stroke but the boys pulled it off. Defense will have to play better for sure we need stops. Although they did hold to some FGs. BUT>... F'n WIN!!!!!!!!!!!

    RECAP

    STARTS
-With no live reps prior to Sunday, it wasn't a surprise that kick coverages suffered a bit. LV surrendered a big punt and kick return on Cooper's first returns in both phases of returns. Cooper's first two returns: 57 yards; Cooper's next 4 returns: 81 yards.
-Oakland's first drive of the day lasted 56 seconds. Pathetic.

    MISSED TACKLES
Both Kwiatkoski and Littleton missed tackles on one run. DB missed a tackle on McCaffrey's first TD. Abram and Arnette both look to thump people rather than tackle them sometimes. Led to extra yards on a QB keep and on a CMC screen. CMC was credited with the second most forced missed tackles on the week.

    COVERAGE
-Panthers convert a third and five because of either a brilliant call on O or a blown coverage on D. Joyner had to cover two guys, and both were open.
-Morrow was flagged for a PI on CMC. Tough ask to get him 1 on 1.
-Littleton blew a sack on Bridgewater. Allowed a huge conversion. He also seemed to blow coverage on a third and fourteen that could have saved some heartburn.
-Arnette misread Anderson's route big time on the TD.
-How many dropped INTs? At least Joyner and a Linebacker (Morrow?).

    MAXX
Crosby got good penetration to blow up a run early. He also really looked to have been held on a near sack in the first q. Bridgewater escaped and threw for a first.

    PASSING GAME
-Looked like Carr floated the ball a bit to the outside on Ruggs's long catch. Could have gone for a score.
-Waller and Renfrow were security blankets again. Big catches for first downs.
-Agholor mad his one catch count.
-Booker looked solid in the receiving game, too.

    RBs
-Josh Jacobs forced 13 missed tackles, five more than any other player in week 1. Monster day. How about Josh Jacobs in the passing game?
-Booker played pretty well. He fumbled a ball out of bounds, but that ended up not mattering. He got brought down on a near TD. But otherwise, sure hands and good runs. Nice spell for Jacobs.

    CLOSING THE HALF
Let's talk about finishing the half. Good mix - Jacobs a first down run, Booker a first down run; Ruggs caught a pass for a 1st down. And because the game was close, they could take a shot on third down. It paid off - for a TD. Defense was a bit soft in prevent, but LV had the lead at the half.

    KICKING
Carlson made some tough kicks. 10 points scored on 10 possible points. Beautiful work.

    PRESSURE
The newcomers - Nassib and Collins - combined for the lone sack of the game. Forced a punt with LV up 5. They had another near sack on the first play of the fourth quarter.

    HEARTBURN
With a five point lead, LV gets the ball, takes 90 seconds off the clock, goes backward two yards, and is forced to punt.

    INJURIES
Sounds like Kwiat will be okay, but he could miss some time. Trent Brown? Who knows, but it's frustrating.

Wanted to do a quick dive into the Rookies and Year 2 Players through two games. I have their PFF grades and some other stats and thoughts.

    Rookies
    Ruggs 57.2
    -117th in receiving yards.
-did draw a key PI late against New Orleans. Drew a hold earlier.
=His speed is undeniable, and he's causing problems even without getting the ball into his hands. The Patriots have allowed 4 TDs to WRs in two games. This could be Ruggs's opportunity for a breakout game.

    Arnette 57.5
-allowed a perfect passer rating in debut (thanks to blown coverage on the 75-yard td pass), improved to 100.8 in game 2. Lots of work to do.
=He is willing to thump and covers well, not allowing yardage after contact.

    Bowden 58.1
    -gone to Miami

    Edwards 65.5
-128th in receiving yards but tied for 19th in 20+ receptions.
=He looks good with the ball in his hands. He's seemingly the best version of what Ateman and Doss could have been.

    Muse DNP

    Simpson 40.6
-playled in 69 snaps on offense and 6 on special teams. did not commit a penalty, but he did allow five QB pressures and was beaten three times in the run game, per PFF.
=Thrown into the fire, Simpson has work to do. Luckily Carr was able to escape the pressure with minimal damage.

    Robertson DNP
=I really want to see Robertson play.

    Year 2
    Ferrell 69.9 +
-Steady improvement from the big man. Hasn't missed a tackle and has a QB Knockdown.

    Jacobs 72.1 ---
-The rating is down, but he's leading the NFL is broken tackles and is currently on pace for nearly 2000 yards from scrimmage.

    Abram 54.9 ++
-His grade is up big time from last year. He has 17 tackles, a qb hit, a TFL, and a PD already. Passer rating when targeted: 92.0.

    Mullen 50.2 --
-Has been down this season after a promising rookie year. Passer rating when targeted in 2019: 78.3. In 2020: 122.6.

    Crosby 55.3 --
-Has only four tackles and 1 PD. Has 1 hurry and has missed on 2 of his 6 tackle attempts. Pretty sure he drew a holding call though.

    Johnson 44.7 --
-Was at a 56.5 last year.
-Has played only 16 snaps on defense. Has 3 tackles. Has allowed a 118.7 passer rating on just 1 target.

    Moreau 69.5 =
-Big body who is a better football player than a fantasy option. His lone catch went to 31 yards, but he has played 44 snaps on offense and 16 on special teams. Passer rating when targeted in 2019: 118.6. In 2020: 118.7.

    Renfrow 64.9 ---
-He'll be a smaller part of the offense with more weapons, but he has snagged all 5 of his targets for 58 yards, four first downs, and a 115 passer rating when targeted.

    Most impressive/disappointing rookies/sophomores so far?

    For me, it's this...
Most impressive rookie: Edwards. He's looking like a legit WR2 for years to come.
Most disappointing rookie: It might be Ruggs, just because he hasn't posted the big numbers yet. But I'm not disappointed with any of these guys.

Most impressive sophomore: The Raiders have several starters for the longterm here, and I love this crop of players, but Jacobs is just a revelation.
Most disappointing sophomore: Crosby or Mullen. Crosby talks a lot for a guy who's been basically silenced for a couple of games here.

Can we take a minute to just say how great it is to see our RB literally put hits on guys? We got guys that drop that shoulder and go BOOM to the defender getting a couple more yards. Loving these backs.
