Raider sites picking us to win... National media is hedging the other way.

I think the Raiders history has people skeptical. I mean, if im honest, I worry about us doing it when it matters. The last 3 seasons we have lost some games because of simple stupidity and not playing "winning" football. That being said this is the D Carr that got us to our first playoffs. This defense is impressive to me. Not perfect but damn impressive.

We go out here and beat the new media darlings and division rivals to go 4-0 It'll feel very real we have turned the corner.

Agree given how we have flamed out down the stretch the last two seasons. I told a friend we'll have an idea of what they are after maybe 10 games? The Rams looked to have had a let-down after their win over Tampa. Maybe the Chargers can be in the same space after taking one in Arrowhead.

Carr is trusting his young receivers along with taking shots downfield Defense has been more than competent. After winning close games in two out of three, they should have confidence. We'll see...

...have to add. My expectations for this squad is still tempered even after three quality wins. They have to start fast tonight.

Every reason to think this will go down to the final possession.

Fight for the top spot in the conference.
Chargers have piled up yards - almost 1200 (and no OT to pad the stats) through three games.
The last two games were a broken up pass in the endzone win for the Raiders and an OT win for the Chargers.
The Raiders are in LA, where Carr has won two in a row.
Herbert is 6-1 in his last 7 starts, while Carr has won 4 in a row but only 5 of his last 10.

    Current line is LAC -3.

I think the Raiders cover that, and it will be a hell of a game.

    Here's a possible key stat...

Herbert has been sacked only 5 times this season.
Washington got 5 QB Hits, Dallas got 9 (and the win), and KC got 6.
The Raiders are averaging 8 per game, and Crosby has half of those.
Gotta get pressure early and often to make Herbert decide quickly what to do. Better if he gets those short, high% completions than if he has all day to pick apart a D.

I wouldn't be surprised if the teams combine for 700 yards through the air.

The dogs have to get after Herbert and rush him for sure. We need to make him dirty. He needs to feel the heat and not get all day going out. On the other side Carr needs to get that ball out and we need that running game.

Chargers looked great on that drive. Kept Herbert squeaky clean. No rush.

Bad look on O. Jacobs looks tentative, poor run blocking. Renfrow with a drop, but it wouldn't have gotten a first anyway.

This offensive line is making too many mistakes. Jacobs is hurt. That other RB is hurt (not Drake). Can't remember his name. This team is in trouble.

Jacobs is hurt. It's hard to watch him out there. Can't break a tackle.

The Defense has stood up so far. We got lucky a couple times and unlucky a couple times. If we hold true to form this will be the time the offense explodes.
