Every time I think we just have to roll with Minshew, he does something stupid.

 

Last four drives from LV: 28 yards. Broncos have flipped it from 10-3 to 13-10, and they're driving now in the third. Oh, and Wilkins is out.

 

Let's make it 20-10. What a turnaround.

Denver WR drops a td pass. Raiders benefit. LV with the ball and a little time before the end of the third.

 

aoc comes in, his drive goes backwards.

It's an undisciplined team, and I've lost basically all confidence in AP.

 

34-10. I'm curious what you guys think about this team, top to bottom. I said it was gut check time. I think this is a big fail.

 

Raiders score a TD in garbage time against a soft D. Still, maybe they can build something from this.

I hope AOC can pull this season back from the brink.

 

The Raiders have made some roster changes. In some cases, their hands have been forced (e.g., injuries). In others, players haven't performed well enough (e.g., QB). So, here's a look at the changes.

QB
Minshew to AOC
AOC is off to a slow start, posting a 47 composite rating, but that should pick up with more reps. Minshew was at 78, driven mostly by extended playing time. The book on these two is clear: Minshew is below average as an NFL starter, posting sub 45 QBRs through four of his six seasons. AOC has been below average, too, though he finished the second half of last season strong.

White to Mattison
This one is a pretty clear upgrade. Mattison has been far more productive with his touches than White. He has tripled up White's first down-clinching plays despite fewer touches.

WR
Adams to Tucker
Adams has struggled with injuries this season and sits at a 69 composite rating. Driven by his availability, Tucker has posted a 74 rating. Neither has been great, and Tucker's big damage came on a 54-yard grab. That play aside, he has 136 yards on 24 targets.

Meyers to Tucker
Turner has yet to prove himself. In limited snaps and limit touches, he sits at a 55 composite rating. Unfortunately, Meyers was on fire, with an 83 composite rating. Second best of all Raider skill player this season (to Bowers at 84).

Munford to Glaze?
Thayer Munford has posted a 60 composite rating, while Glaze has been at a 64. They've been pretty similar in terms of performance.

DT
Wilkins to Adam Butler
Wilkins was as advertised, until he was injured. His 81 composite rating was excellent. Fortunately, Butler has been pretty good, too. He has posted a 75 composite rating. He's no Wilkins, but he can fill in well.

LB
Masterson to Eichenberg
While I predicted (accurately) that Eichenberg would take over, he hasn't been great. He was scorched in pass coverage (150.4 PRWT on 5 targets). His 35 composite rating is very poor compared to Masterson's 52.

Eichenberg to Chaisson?
Chaisson has three more snaps than Eichenberg but has posted a much better composite rating of 50. He's been solid in pass coverage.

Epps to Pola-Mao
Is this another clear upgrade, or is Pola-Mao just playing out of his mind? His 72 composite rating is miles ahead of Epps's 59.

 

Not much offense since that first drive, for either team. Dylan Laube on the field and coughs it up. Not good at all.

 

Brutal lack of discipline. AOC has a TD wiped off the board bc JPJ was downfield.

 

Abdullah loses a fumble at the goal line.

 

Gotta move on from Luke Getsy. Let AOC start the rest of the season. They win or he's done and we trade up for a QB.

 

Looks like Raiders will lose by 2+ scores for the third time in four weeks.

 

AOC tosses a TD pass to Wilkerson.

 

For all the praise he garnered from Adams (Rodgers too), Getsy has been terrible.
