-Losing Tillery is a business move, and I get it. Wilkins immediately moves that defensive front to legitimacy. By synergy, he improves the Edge rushers, too. And possibly the DBs. Monster signing.

-I can't say this hurts the team. The salary isn't prohibitive. LV could run with these two or swing for the fences in the draft.

 

We'll carry 3 QB's for the season. AOC and Uncle Rico are two so far. I would hedge that we get one off the draft. RB's? We draft one too.

 

...and it was mentioned that the Pack can get out of it after a year if they choose. They cut Aaron Jones too after he restructured his contract to help. Cold biz.

-This leaves an opening, as Robertson was the second-best rated CB on the roster after Hobbs, but Jones was right there.

 

OUT: Hunter Renfrow WR

From a guy not many outside Clemson knew about before the draft to 100 grabs over his first two seasons to a 100-reception year in 2021 and a Pro Bowl. Love the guy. Raider for life.

TE Nick Vannett (63)
-We need a TE, and Vannett is a blocking TE more than a receiver, but I read that Hooper was the top rated blocking TE last season. I'd like to see us bring back Hoop.

CB Michael Davis* (71)
After being really good in coverage from 2019-2022 (PRWT between 66.2 and 87.1), Davis slipped up big time, allowing a 119.2 PRWT. That team was a mess, and he could rebound. He'd likely be an overall upgrade from Robertson, and he could come cheaper.

 

...read that Hooper is negotiating with the Pats for a deal.

Minshew is THE White Trash Russell Wilson per fans. LOL! He is not a world beater but will be entertainment value alone.

Salute to Robertson going to a good team in Detroit and hope he does well.

So Carr and the 'Aints don't have the NFC South locked with both Mayfield back as well as Cousins now in the same division.

-Loving Jenkins's return. He's our run stuffer. This is a fun unit. Just need to make sure we have enough depth to keep Wilkins fresh.

 

Tre'Davius White is meeting with the Raiders. Intriguing guy. He peaked at an 83 rating as an All-Pro in 2019. Since then, his snaps have massively fallen off: 951 to 878 to 639 to 308 to 182. His PFF grades have fallen from mid-70s to mid-60s. And his Rating has dropped from 83 to 81 to 70 to 57 to 52. Back-to-back seasons affected by ACL will do that. I have no idea what he looks like now, but I get why the Bills saved $10m to move on from a player with those injuries.

 

Alexander Mattisom RB

In.

 

Mattison is an interesting RB.

He was a 71 grade last season, but he's never been a bell cow back. He also hasn't reached 4.0 yards per carry over any of the last three seasons. Then again, he's also way less effective with more touches, so maybe that's good news. He, White, and Abdullah could be a good mix in the backfield.
