I think it would. They worked well together in pre-season. I don't really think we have a choice at this point. Lou/Calderon would get killed defensively. We need to play Clarkson more.
We don't have any shooters anymore. Russell, Young and Calderon are probably the 3 best shooters on the team. I know Williams is lights out right now but our shooting has suffered a lot lately.
Mozzy can shoot, but we don't take advtantage of it as much as we should. If it wasn't for Lou, we'd be losing by way more points than we currently are. We need to play much better defense and rebound much better if we're going to have a chance to win games with a depleted lineup, and even our bigs are getting hurt, so that makes it even more difficult.
At this point we need everyone back to help get back in a groove. Either that or include him in a trade(if possible). It's an expiring contract..could be useful.
:Randallconfused: Why would we? Unless Calderon wants out of here, I see no reason to just waive an expiring 7 million dollar deal when it saves us no money and loses our already shaky depth at the PG position.
there's going to be a playoff team by mid season that could use his vet leadership and skill set....I would take another 2nd rd pick for him or take back a similar contract for an under performing wing that we could try to salvage. But seeing how we handled Pau, Bass, etc....he'll just end up expiring. Yea we got 2 2nds for him but I still think he has value on just half a season rental, even if its just another measily low end 2nd rder
