    So would you guys be okay with Crabbe if we need to give him something close to the same deal we gave Deng? Maybe even more?

    Sounds like a LOT of cash, but it would be fun to see a young legit "3 and D" wing grow as a bench player with our core.

    @Helljumper Yes, I'd be fine with that. Cap is going up & up. Can shed future salary if absolutely needed.

    dallas doesn't make more moves, and he might be playing for a 17-win team next year anyway. he does like dallas, though, and he's from that area. surprised it was 1/10. 2/20 or 1/15 was what i expected.

    anyway, this probably means ray felton is available if the lakers want a solid vet backup for russell.

    in other news, david lee and gerald henderson are still out there as UFAs. both could help the lakers (lee as smallball backup 5 and henderson as utility sg/sf). adding henderson would mean moving lou. more d, less o. i'm ok with it. clarkson could move into lou's role.

    Crabbe is mostly a shooter right now - doesn't board, doesn't pass, but he does take care of the ball, and he's never been higher than 30th in DRPM.

    He was torched as a rookie - allowing 29 points per 36 on 60% eFG.
    He was MUCH better in year two, holding SGs to 30.4% eFG and SFs to 43.9% eFG. Neither scored more than 16.2 PP36.
    Last year, he was somewhere in between. SGs scored 22.2 per 36 on 52% eFG. SFs were at 17.4 on 48.5%.

    He's a good CANDIDATE for 3 and D, and he's an upgrade over some of our options, but you'd have to know that there's a chance he's not much more than an average defender whose only skill on offense is shooting.

    That would be a good fit for Pau. Plus Pop could rest him through the year to keep him fresh for the playoffs.

    Excellent fit for Pau. Just hope he's playing a David West role because I don't think he can start anymore. I wouldn't mind Sessions as long as it's a two year deal with a team option. Not sure he'd take it, but doesn't seem to be a huge market for him. If there is enough money left over then I'd sign Bass to the same deal.
