That's true and I like most all of your other thoughts. But this seems self evident to me as to what actually took place, and I don't understand the maybe it would have been better to do Aldrich Sunday morning quarterbacking. Certainly no offense intended. Sorry.

    so in summary with KD:

    1) strongly considering Warriors
    2) could go back to OKC
    3) likes Boston's addition of Horford

These reporters are really going out on a limb here.

If he does, he's a bigger p**** than Lebron. I will always root against Dubs if he signs there :p

Who cares? It VASTLY improves our chance at getting Westbrook next year.

At least we have his son. I'm confident he's gonna be a great executive. Maybe not as great as his father, but he's gonna be our GM one day.

    It, perhaps, does.

But Westbrook or not, we (or anyone in the West) are not getting through Curry/Klay/Green/Durant.

That's a dream team, right there. Shooting, length, defense, rebounding, passing...

No not right now, but when our kids develop and they get older it'll be our time to take over.

No worries, no offense taken at all. Didn't take it personally, just wanted to argue the point about how we shouldn't criticize the Mozgov signing because there is nothing we can do about it now and how it must be a good signing because Luke/Shaw liked him. Have seen others try to argue that as well and I disagree with that line of thinking.

We are in a long game. GSW isn't our concern this season.

In a few years, the Warriors are going to wish they could trade Curry, Thompson, Green, and Durant for Russell, Clarkson, Randle, and Ingram.

My happiest personal KD scenario: Anywhere but Boston.

I could see like in 2-3 years down the road we meet them in the playoffs as an eight seed like the Thunder did with us back in 2010 when we were great and give them a run for their money. Than in a couple of years beat them just like OKC did to us in 2012. Hopefully injuries don't get in our way like they did for the Thunder.

Yeah the criticism of the front office is definitely fair. It's clear that it's time for new blood. I like Mitch but change is good sometimes.

@LT: Thanks for the kind words. In truth, I actually miss being optimistic with the majority of you guys, but the current FO has done minimally in restoring that faith for me. Trust me, there is nothing more that I want than to get back into trusting our direction, till then I can't help support our ownership and their blind misfires. I mean we all applaud our youth and joke for future superstars in the making but we also became historical losers to gain those assets...something we never ever did under the direction of the good Doc.

@BattleTested: Here is what Mitch said at the end of our season.
Calling up Mosgov at 9:01 pm pt on June 30th is effective recruiting? We heard management say they would do their due diligence in finding a coach, yet look at the last few years after Phil 2.0...heck, I love the concept of hiring Luke, but was that hire classified as "due diligence"? Our basketball ops takes hypocritical to a whole other level. And the next quote by Mitch pushes that even further.

So the last 3 years of futility, self-cutting that was the premature Kobe legacy contract and historical losing, all culminated in having the ability to have 2 max spots this summer to only punt it away in the opening minutes of free agency, for not only this summer, but next summer as well. I agree that we shouldn't rely on pipe scenarios but if you had a scenario next summer where you had Westbrook and a KD or Bron (coming off 1 and 1 contracts off this summer) and they expressed that they would like to link up and you shot yourselves in the foot with Moz & Deng, that's almost unforgivable. At the very least give yourself that opportunity. Sure we can attempt to trade contracts next summer, but why be at the mercy of another team to be in a scenario that took you 3 years in the making to earn?

Either way, I think Mitch and Jimmy need to go and anybody with the last name West is a guy that I would love to roll with. Problem with Mitch has always been that he's a yes man. He never disputed Jimmy's decision, yet Jerry West would do so time and time again with Jerry Buss...which is what made that dynamic great and the Lakers so great!

If we stretch Swaggy, we still have $25 million in cap space. We'll have $32 million cap space if we find a team willing to take Lou Williams cheap $7 million/yr contract.

I'll reserve judgement until the offseason is over.
