I'm not stupid I understand their win total. If the Lakers as constructed played in the East they'd have been a 30 win team under Byron and I am sure of that.

They're at best slightly ahead of us and I'm not convinced of that even. Somehow a narrative has been turned into a reality that they're so far ahead of us. Now they are obviously.

I think he signs a 1+1 with OKC. If it doesn't workout, Boston can make a play for him next year, too.

Well f*** it if he leaves next year that only improves our chance of getting Westbrook next season.

The Lee deal is a good one. I would liked him for that price but our price was probably more like 4/60 million.

I hate to say it, but they're ahead of us. Stevens is proven to be one of the best coaches. Luke will be great imo, but he's still a rookie head coach at the end of the day. I love our young talent I think they're the future and gonna be spectacular, but some players don't wanna bet it all on how good they might be. Going to the C Bags at least gives him a team he can go to that is already a good solid team. Don't matter though. Horford isn't a superstar and he doesn't make them a true title threat.

Durant leaving OKC gives the Lakers a legit shot at Westbrook. So the hope is he leaves.

So many people here overrate the majority of the players in the nba. Lee going to the Knicks, making them a playoff team? Really? C'mon people. 3/4 of the players that have signed aren't gonna do diddly poo for their teams.

Isaiah Thomas and now Al Horford are the only two players on that roster that even might be impactful. Thomas is absolutely not a guy who can lead a team to a ring. You're right Stevens is a great, provenot commodity but they really were not so far ahead of us at all. Put the C Bags in the West last year and they might win 35 games.

48 wins and a trip to the playoffs vs. 17 wins?

No, they aren't ahead of us. Lakers have potential franchise players, they have role players and a really good Horford.

Who said they're going to the playoffs? Nobody, but Lee is a nice player. He is probably an upgrade over Affalo at this point. I disagree that players won't do diddly poo. Most of these guys will at least he solid contributors.

They played 4 more games. That's it. They were home a week later than the lakers, that's it.

This summer we left with a young students coach and a better roster than theirs. Playing in the East is the main difference in our positions. Those C Bags would not have won near that much in the West and we would have lost less in the East playing the Sixers four times a year.

They were ahead by a small amount compared to us. Now they are firmly ahead of us. I don't care much for their win totals. The Raptors won how many games last year?

They were only 12 games out of the playoffs this season. They added Rose, too. I'm not sure why NY isn't a good bet for a playoff spot.

I don't think they're far ahead of us in terms of talent, but they do have now Two All Stars on that roster and some solid role players. Is it enough to win a ring? Hell no. I'd prefer our situation minus the front office BS, but for right now they are the better team. We are putting all our hopes on the shoulders of a 20 year old 18 year old kid. Let's just pray they can handle it. I fully expect they can.
