Batum, DD, Whiteside all staying with their original teams on max deals.

Afflalo would be a good depth signing.
I'd take Turner or Harkless before Afflalo. I wouldn't feel bad about either one of them starting over our current players.

Here's the case for Evan Tuner: he's 28, so he's in his prime. He's an iron man, missing 2 games over the past four seasons and only 7 games in six seasons, meaning he has played in 98.5% of the career games he was eligible for. His PER has risen each of the past three seasons, from 12.1 to 12.4 to 12.8 to 13.6. He's a career 42% shooter from 10-16' and 39% from 16 to inside the arc. You don't HAVE to hit threes to be a shooter or floor spacer.

He held opposing SGs to 13.3 PER and opposing SFs to 11.4 PER last season. He's a solid defender. Would be our best wing defender on the team. He's also a very effective passer. He even has 40 games, 20 starts, and 1000+ minutes of playoff experience.

With Whiteside back on board, the Heat have about 20+ million in cap space and only 5 players under contract. They won't be able to keep both Wade and Deng. Deng for 40/2 please.

The four year, $50M would be close to max for JC. I've been mentally prepared for that.

That actually comes across pretty weak to me. Basically he wouldn't be able to handle the expectations that come with being a Laker.

Okay, cool. Like I said, Mozgov could be a good fit here, and I'd put him in the 12.5m/season camp.

I must admit I was pretty angry last night, but I definitely have come off the ledge. While I am not exactly happy with the signing, or the idea he was our first guy to call, I'll wait and see how we fill out the rest of the roster.

I respect him for what he's trying to do. Not everyone's a Kobe, and not everyone wants to live in LA.

Just wait for Riley to pull out some shady s*** and not only resign all his players but also add some new, decent ones...

riley's going to do some back-door stuff to keep wade and one more guy there, but deng's out there to be had, imo.

rodg persuaded me slightly on evan turner a few posts ago, though.

I mean, I THINK I'm not just trying to justify it. I seriously never gave Turner enough credit because of his 3pt%. I'm being totally honest. Then I looked more into the numbers, and I saw that he does have some good things to offer. Like Mozgov, he doesn't push us over the top, but he ticks another box we need. These little moves that add experience, skill, defense, and other specific needs we have - they all help.

I like Turner's game. I see him as an Iggy-lite for us.

Or Livingston, actually. Great defender, able to guard 1-3. Decent midrange but no long ball. Huge piece for GSW. He'd work for Luke here.

Multiple interviews asking Luke what types of players he's looking for mentioned "shooting+versatility". That's Ingram, but so far no FA rumors that fit this criteria.
