    Hopefully he's right. I mean for goodness sake according to the national media Mitch and Jim will be sitting alone in the dark while everyone else is partying in FA.

    Batum's agent is based out of Dallas. My guess would be that would be why the Mavs are getting the in person meeting.

    Batum ain't comin. Parsons and Biyombo will be the only legit shots now. If the Lakers do get Biyombo, I just hope he is playoff biyombo.

    While true, it still gives them an edge.

    What I don't understand is where are Mitch and Jim literally going to be. If they've got no other meetings scheduled in person (as most people seem to not be in LA) then why wouldn't they go meet with Nic face-to-face?

    Leur is a stretch 4/5 and Alan Anderson is a veteran wing that has bounced around the league for years. Neither is exciting and I'd be surprised if either got more than 5-6 million a year.

    Hey guys, just reading the last 7 or so pages ....

    Everyone needs to remain calm. Just like last year, everyone jumped to conclusions on reports that proved not to be entirely true. Just let the process take its course.

    The Lakers always work clandestinely. I'm not worried about it at all.

    We will get solid players that will help the team make strides this year.

    ...was expecting this from you. :) Personally, not really enamored with Whiteside that much. What I find disappointing is not even getting a meeting if true.

    If the Lakers strike out, going to be interested to watch what Phil does in NY with free agency. Another Lakers failed off-season could put us into a change in leadership next year and Jeanie would want Phil at the top of the list.

    I haven't been extremely impressed with GM Phil, but this off-season could tell us more.
