Ugh I hope not. Really only three of those guys make sense to me and we only have a real shot at one of them and that's Whitesidez

Not bad. Ryan Anderson has a history of being injured, though. Plus, are we comfortable paying him $20 million a year because that's what he will probably getthis summer.

They want some shooting! I'm not sure we need anther PF, but whatever. I'll take it I suppose.

The rest of that list is great though. The great thing about that list is how Broussard took all those names from everyone else who has reported on the Lakers. (stolen) sources.

Does adding Anderson mean shifting someone to the 5?

i'll say it again: i'd throw wade a pretty hefty offer (3/60, team option on 3rd?). and i really don't like wade. it's just strategy. big name signing (restore some sheen), f you riley (you can't afford to keep wade and whiteside now, so either crap on a franchise icon or let your most talented young player walk), and wade would probably be a more graceful mentor than kobe, as he's already taken a bit of a backseat in miami, imo--except in winning time.

but anyway, my hope would be that the offer would just drive up the price so that whiteside left. rooting for wade would be like rooting for malone. i'm still not clean.

Possibly. Randle and Nance will probably split time at the center position.

I would like him as backup PG. Smart and tough vet.

As for the Ryan Anderson talks, yeah I'm as confused as the rest of you.

its okay, Broussard's sources tend to confuse a lot of people.

I'm fine with Horford, Batum, or Whiteside.

I cannot get on board with Barnes or Anderson.

I only have one thing to say.

How do we realistically expect our players not to substantially digress?

This is not a list that gets me excited except for Whiteside and Batum. I don't really want Horford at his age and price, rather have the cheaper, younger Whiteside. Ryan Anderson I don't get at all, we have Randle and Nance, you'd think we'd be looking at a 3rd string emergency PF, or trying to keep Black, not sign a starting caliber PF. Small ball center? Do not want Barnes either, Wade is old and although he was very good last season, he can fall apart at any second. As for Jarrett Jack, I'd take him as a backup in a second, buuuut, he isn't a Russ fan, or at least he wasn't in March.

Whiteside, Batum, Horford I'm good with it...

Barnes is really ehhh to me, might even look worse on a less talented team.

Anderson doesn't make much sense to me.

Is batum a 2 or a 3 and can he play both positions? Bc Ingram's development is more important

Batum is a small forward. Don't think he has the lateral quickness to play SG full time. I'd rather spend that money elsewhere.

I'd be fine with Anderson. I know he has an injury history, but he averaged 30 minutes a game in 66 games last season.

EDIT: Actually, he played over 60 games in all but one season. One injured season doesn't seem like too much of a red flag for me.

60 games means you're missing 1/4 of the season. that's not nothing. the bigger issue is that he can only play pf.

I think Anderson fits pretty well in Luke's offense with his ability to stretch the floor. I don't know what he'd cost. It'd mean moving Randle and Nance Jr. down to Center though for stretches. Tough call.

Maybe the lakers might trade Julius for an established all star and are interested in Ryan Anderson to replace him? (Me speculating)
