With things like this is really is likely she did not say this recently. Maybe a couple of months ago and Ding and his team decide to release it now. I this is the case with a lot of news stories out there whether or not it is about sports. I'm upset with Jeanie of course, but more disappointed with Ding.

This is a jugglershot by him IMO....just days before FA begins.

A GM speculated S. Hill's price tag would be in between 7-9 million. Not bad if you strike out on your main SF targets.

I would also look into Jeff Green. You pay Green more money, but he's giving you more production and had a body of work you could look back at and know what he'll give you.

People laughed at them when howard trade went down but yet they are the only team that retained the assets gained in that 4 team trade and suffered the least turmoil out of any one since. Den lost iggy amd still suck, phi became the epdiemy of epic losers, we had the worse stretch of losing in our history for past 2yrs

We also have a much better young core then them. We're fine. I'd rather have that than some assets that will likely never net a difference making star.

Im not comparing cores....im merely adding a foot note in that its easy to laugh off orl when they made trades that look dumb at the present but has a way of working for them in the long run....i see lots of people say okc got a great deal but who do they have now to defend the paint and stretch the floor from the 4 spot? Dipo could be good but hes not exactly a catch and shoot guy eother and will need the ball to be effective offensively and with kd/westbrook around he might just be forced to be a spot up.shooter now which will take away from his talent

In the past ten years, 20 times has a player at 6'9" or taller made the ASG at age 22/23 (the next two seasons for Julius). Those among them who shot under 50% were:
    Chris Bosh 49.6% 23/11/2.5
    Kevin Durant 49.6% 28-8-3.5
    Chris Bosh 49.4% 22/9/2.6
    Anthony Davis 49.3% 24-10-2
    Kevin Durant 47.6% 30-8-3
    Kevin Love 47.0% 20-15-2.5
    Kevin Durant 46.2% 28-7-3
    Kevin Love 44.8% 26-13-2
    Paul George 42.4% 22-7-3.5
    Paul George 41.9% 17-8-4* (All-D 2nd, All-NBA 3rd)

His rebounds don't compensate for his inability to score. So he's really going to have to pick it up if he's going to be all-star quality.

Domas will be able to stretch the floor well enough. He has good vision, willing passer, and he can do some damage inside. Dipo had his lowest USG this past season, and it was his best season. I think he'll be fine.

Orlando didn't just "mess up" in this trade. I think the Tobias Harris trade was insane.

Sabonis doesn't look like a 3pt shooter and his weakness noted on those draft videos shows non existent rim protection due to his lack of athleticism. I guess the harris trade was bad but maybe they didn't want long term contracts back? But i do think they could've since better than 2 expiring for harris

Domas will space the floor. He won't rim protect. He won't hit the three any time soon, but he doesn't have to to space the floor.

I dont see how a rookie is suppose to push okc over gsw...for all the talks bout ibaka decline he was major contributor in that wcf, odalipo will be a slight upgrade over roberson but is still a smallish sg who might still not be able to handle klay or iggy or barnes if hes brought back

I think it will be a huge mistake to few any of our players all star appearances as a sign of success when their careers are near the ending. With the amount of competition in the Weest especially from the guard point of view I just don't see Russell or Clarkson getting in anytime soon. Same goes for Julius whether or not they make the proper improvements on their games.

I never said that, and that actually wasn't my point. I understand why OKC tried to do something, and I think they are a better team for it. I'm just wondering what Orlando thinks they're doing with these trades.

BTW, do you really think that Victor Oladipo (17-5-4) is a "slight upgrade" over Andre Roberson (5-4-1 and a year older, btw)? Dipo's a good player.

Given that Luke is talking about adding vets, it's worth looking closely at Golden State's FAs. I'm not saying I want these dudes; I'm saying we might have to be prepared to see us add one/some of them. Isn't Barbosa the kind of player the Lakers would add?

    Vets
    Barbosa**
    Ezeli*
    Rush**
    Speights*
    Varejao?

    Maybe Vet
    Barnes*

    ** early bird rights
    * bird rights
    ? no bird rights

You act like Golden State swept them. It was as tight and tough a series as you could get. Closest series since the 2010 Finals between Boston and L.A. The Thunder don't need much to be ahead of the Warriors. A couple of depth pieces could do it and they've already done that. Ibaka wasn't near the same player. They get a huge upgrade at the 2 spot, shooter, and promising young big.
