If that is the case, doesn't bode well for a team like us when he says he wants to make a decision July 1st.

Don't forget Paul George. He did a great job with Paul who credits him a lot and was instrumental into his development into becoming one of the best players in the NBA. We know Luke did in Golden State as he was instrumental in Draymond's development. You're talking about two great players and stars in this league. Ingram and Russell have just as much talent so that certainly bodes well for us.

Not really. The Lakers are gonna be aggressive and fast with Whiteside according to ESPN. We'll get a meeting I just don't see any reason why Whiteside wouldn't meet with Mitch and Jim.

Rumor is he's giving Toronto the chance to keep him. DeRozan would likely have to take less to make it work, but both of them seem at least amiable to talking about it.

On the Herd, for what its worth Colin Cowherd says Whiteside isn't going anywhere, Riley gave him his first real shot and there is no sales tax in the state. Obviously its just him speculating...

There are two ways we have to look at this. One, we need talent. Yes, Lakers will have to overpay to get it, however, the top tier talent has shown pretty remarkable skill sets the Lakers need. With Clarkson a few weeks ago saying he wouldn't mind coming off the bench, that gave me a sign that he might be coming back at a good number but team player mode is high on his list of things to do. I had a lot of respect for him when he said that because now the Lakers can add a starter at the 2 and have good depth there.

If the Lakers off season gets them 2 starters at the SG and Center position, they will not only score an A grade but I believe end up having the best off season in the NBA. They would have secured their future 3-D player who could be a franchise player in the draft. And filled 2 holes they needed to fill at SG and Center positions.

If the Lakers get Derozan and Whiteside, they would have hit the jackpot. If you add a Noah and lets say, Ryan Anderson to finish off left over money, I seriously would jump for joy.

    Russell
    Derozan
    Ingram
    Randle
    Whiteside

    Anderson
    Noah
    Clarkson
    Williams
    Nance Jr.
    Brown
    Bass (Re-Sign)
    Zubac

12 active, one inactive. Zubac would more than likely be inactive a lot of the games. That 12 man roster could really make some noise right out the gate.

The cool thing about Cowherd is how little knowledge he possesses about really anything but especially basketball and the NBA. He has absolutely no idea what the f*** he's talking about and his name makes me angry knowing how much money he makes doing exactly what we're doing here but with less effort and even less accountability somehow.

Can you update us with what Medina has to say? If anything new, please?

I'm interested in what Medina says because he at least knows something. Cowherd is just a waste of breath. Medina usually goes on 570 though instead of 710 maybe it's a contract thing.

    Nothing really new...

Just seemed to be speculating more than anything. Saying how we can't really expect us to get a "star" with the way the team has been for years. He said if we do miss on those top tier guys we are going to spend the money to fill out the roster as we have to, mentioned Batum specifically. Said looking at the roster center has to be the top need, which is why Whiteside looks to be our top target.

Cowherd moved to 570. He's not on 710 anymore. He's on in the 9-12 timeslot after DP. Lebatard is now in the morning drive slot on ESPN Radio.

I know. I'm saying Medina usually goes on 570 a lot of times he's on the show after Cowherd (Bill Rieter?). I will never listen to Cowherd's show. It sucks, he sucks, and Rich Eisen is on 830 which is far more enjoyable.

DP until 9 oclock. Eisen until 10 oclock. Then Trudell/Thompson for inside Laker info until 12. Then Mason/Ireland until 3. After that... I'll listen to music mostly to avoid having to hear Marcellus's opinions, but Max and Marcellus isn't the worst show around.
