I don't know how likely it is, but Horford is my top option.

No it's not, just considering all our options is all. In the new cap environment especially that's going to be a very low contract. That might even be a minimum deal when things are renegotiated.

    I like Boston, but I'm a colonial.

The Hawes and Ariza dumps are so tantalizing. Add a pick. Add a starter and excellent backup. $14m. Add a max player. Add a second tier player elsewhere.

    DA/Williams
    JC/C. Lee
    Ariza/Ingram/Brown
    Randle/Nance
    Whiteside/Hawes/Zubac

I'm torn. Lee to play some SG or add a vet defensive Pg and let Lou play SG.

The Durant news isn't really surprising. I can honestly see him going to GS if they can figure out a creative way to keep the roster mostly intact. That death lineup would be amazing (Curry / Klay / Iggy / KD / Dray) that's pretty sick. Back to the Lakers, I wanted us to either be A.) In the position GS is in or B.) Not in it at all. Since we are option B we should not even wait 1 hour for him to decide mainly for this reason.....

We need to start adding some serious veteran talent because the draft well is about to be dried up. Go full steam into the guys we've been talking about and try to snag at least 3 of them. While some of our top competitors are wasting their time with Durant (OKC, GS and dark horse SA have a chance) we need to be on the phone plotting a coup of these second-third tier guys. Next offseason will be the same as this one (Top guys not even looking this way) if we don't make some moves now.

9:00 PM PST- Al Horford on the phone.
10:00 PM PST- Joakim Noah on the phone.
    along with-
9:00 PM PST- Luol Deng on the phone.
10:00 PM PST- Aaron Afflalo on the phone.

Get 'em all going early. Let 'em know we're interested right away. If Durant isn't giving us one of the first meetings, I take a secondary meeting with him later just to let him know what we're planning. Let him know we're confident in what we're doing and we're comfortable with a long rebuild with the young guys. Starting next year (17/18) we're a 40 win team and he can either put us over the top or watch out for the train in 2-3 years. Then he can decide with that 1+1 he's still very likely to sign whether or not we're a more serious candidate after seeing us rock with the young guys for a year. Let him know the veterans we're about to sign/trade for. See you next summer, good luck.

Scoop up these vets with (admittedly likely to be very high contracts) and then move on with our summer. We've got the young guys, need some great vets to get their heads in the right place.

I'm ready for our exciting 35 wins with another competitive 10-12 games beyond that.

Good on ya, Mitch. Go get a young vet who can protect the rim and finish pick & rolls! This is our (better) version of Bogut. Love the fit.

Whiteside, Deng, and a back-up PG would be a dream offseason.

I'm down for it. He's not a perfect fit but his ability to change games defensively is a premium. He is also somewhat "attainable".

He does not however symbolize "veteran leadership" :D

I hope he's not our end game. This makes sense with what Mitch said when asked if we'd use the city as a selling point. Unlike veterans who will look for a competitive team, Whiteside might prefer LA.

Let's go. Screw Dallas who allegedly have a good shot with him. Screw the C Bags. And KD, screw you if you don't want to have a meeting with us. Let's freaking go, Mitch.

FO must think he's a perfect fit for the young guys.

    Whiteside/Deng/Chalmers + Ingram + Luke = 100% joy and A+ offseason for me.

GSW are looking at the same big man FA's we are. Horford, Whiteside, etc. If GSW makes a reasonable offer to any of them, we'll be picking up their scraps.
