Parsons/Horford...I'm down with that. Whiteside...body by Jake, head by Mattel.

You all bring up great points on Parsons's availability because of injury. I was hoping that'd be the case with Noah too. The interesting question is: does PARSONS start? Is PARSONS okay not starting? If PARSONS starts can he play any SG? Can Ingram play any SG?

I don't want to rely on Ingram being a starting caliber player, but his presence does complicate things a little bit. A guy like Ariza I feel would be pretty willing to come off the bench. I'd really prefer Parsons off the bench because he can give us that Iguodala type facilitator presence while also protecting his body from extra wear and tear against the better players in the league.

If we left this summer with Parsons/Horford/Hawes/A future Charlotte 1st then hell yeah we won the summer. We'd even still have money to find a backup PG if we wanted to.

abeer will probably say NO to Parsons or Ingram at the 2. I think both could play depending upon matchups. Not full time, mind you, but on occasion.

Parsons has played small-ball at the 4 under Carlisle. You can play Ingram at his natural position (Small Forward) and place Parsons at the 4 for stretches.

Parsons will sit on the bench in a suit.

IF Parsons is inked...he'll likely start while we bring Ingram to speed. If we play small ball...this is what we can deploy:

    G - Russell
    G - Clarkson
    F - Ingram
    F - Parsons
    F - Randle

    My thoughts to your questions...

    - Parsons will start.
    - Parsons will chafe not starting.
    - Parsons has enough ability to play 2 but be a defensively liability.
    - Ingram at the 2...no at least early on.
    - Noah can play the 4...best I can do. :)

Woj says Warriors, Spurs, Thunder, Clippers, and C Bags are as of right now the front runners on Durant.

Lakers, Nuggets, Wizards, Rockets are outside looking in.

Hating on the last two on the "in" list... At the end of the day, IMO Durant will still be an Okie...

I think it comes down to the Warriors or Thunder, but I give the Thunder the edge to sign him to a 1+1 deal since that gives him one last chance to win the title with the team that drafted him and it allows him to make even more money next summer.

Hopefully next year the Lakers will be mentioned as the front runners and not on the outside looking in after they make the playoffs and Ingram wins ROY (just being optimistic :)).

I'm very upset to hear Boston on that list and not us. Extremely upset. I fully believe that if you took our team as is and put it in the East they'd have as many, if not more, wins than the C Bags. Hearing their name on there before us makes me irrationally angry.

The Clippers? Please. Their flash in the pan is just about burned out.

I want to start this season now so we can start the youth uprising.

^I don't think Ainge's team has a chance at least I hope not. If there was one team he'd be really good with it would be Golden State. Jerry West is there who we know can be pretty convincing.

Keep in mind Boston is in the East. LeBron has essentially had a bye to the Finals for years because he plays in the East, and that doesn't go unnoticed.

I mean, put the Thunder in the East and how many Finals appearances do they have? Certainly something Durant has considered. If Durant wants a championship, the path of least resistance is to head East. LeBron isn't getting any younger, one injury to him or Kyrie and a KD-led team can coast into the Finals.

I'm sure that's part of the appeal of Boston.

Were that the case, I'd think Miami would be his top destination of Boston. Good coach, good organization leadership, and after some shady Riley shuffling you can probably get Wade, Bosh, and Durant on the squad surrounded by decent talent. If Bosh can't go, then worst case scenario you do well year one and year two Riley gets a running mate as Bosh is forced to retire.

I understand having Boston on the list, but not above us. That hurts. That makes me angry.

I'm not trippin. He will re-sign for 1 year with OKC; our team will be mugh more competitive next year, and I know we will be in play. It is all good.

Oh I don't think they'll land him, but I hate any situation that boosts the C Bags over us. It's bad enough the mainstream media refuses to acknowledge how crappy Ainge is. Now he's being validated even in a small way over us. I really just want a chance to get out there and prove to NBA guys what our young players are capable of.

On the optimistic side, hopefully this news points the Lakers more towards guys who are more attainable.

Parsons? No. He's too prone. Why take the risk?

I hear you. Our focus should be on your last sentence. Focus on the right free agents and let's get this moving in a positive direction. Fantastic off-season so far; lets kill it in free agency.
