That's more or less what I had in mind. I just said to bring him in for a workout and see what's up.

If he can be better than Sacre (he can be) then I don't see why we shouldn't give him a look.

Watching this dance is going to be fascinating. Especially since we're part of it.

Whiteside got ejected last night and then sent home by the team. The Heat haven't been playing him in crunch time of some games, he's coming off the bench now, I think he's prime for a move to LA to assume the Andrew Bynum role (minus the injuries).

He's a 27 year old top 5 center (talent wise) and Miami is bringing him off the bench and benching him in crunch time. Why do we want him in LA? He's doing this type of stuff now, just wait until he gets paid. Please stay away from this kid. Please, please, please...

He's coming off the bench because he's coming back from an oblique injury.

    That would be crazy good.

    Russell (potential borderline all-star)
    Clarkson
    Durant (all-star)
    Randle (borderline all-star)
    Whiteside (borderline all-star)

Not sure if this has ever been discussed, but I think we should take a little look at this guy Boban Marjanovic in San Antonio. He's a little old for a rookie, but still relatively young (27). Incredibly long at 7'3", and has been fairly productive in the very few minutes he's played. I figure he should come fairly cheap...just someone to keep an eye on. Oh, and if you need a few laughs, some of the things this guy says (or people say about him) are hilarious...check out the link.

Doc and I have discussed him a few times. He's an intriguing dude.

    Boban's per36: 24 points, 15 boards.

    Zach Randolph for Kevin Durant.

    Good deal.

Meanwhile Marc Gasol just broke his foot on the wrong side of 30 so... Yeah.

Why wouldn't KD just sign a 1 year deal with the thunder and take advantage of the cap?

Sure, I bet he'd love to play with a PG not half as good as his current one, and an aging center with a currently broken foot that has him out for the season. He'd be better off in many other places.

That's just what he might end up doing. You know what's funny? Westbrook, Ibaka, and Durant all coming onto the market at the same time and then all re-signing with OKC. Just a thought.

That's one of his many options.

The best argument I have against that: he wants more instability? His last couple seasons have been fraught with injury. If I were his agent, I'd tell him to take the long-term deal now so that he has some security.
