Meh. I don't buy the number of 7. Off top of my head or knee jerk or shoot from the hip initial reaction.

I wouldn't take Bogut for any of our 3 kids. Injuries, fat contract, age, slow, can't play extended minutes, boards @ a lower rate than Julius in his first real year.

Also he's not taking into account that we got to this point of having 60+ mil to spend by clearing the books so his entire argument is irrelevant. Of course they have many good players and we don't, we are at opposite ends of the team building cycle. Does GSW have 60+ million and a second pick in a 2 deep draft? Of course they don't care about that now but in 5-6 years they probably will. let's see if the splash bros can check out with 5 rings like Kobe. They might. But comparing the 2 teams competitiveness atm is something only a complete a-hole would do.

Don't like Cowherd, but he's right. I take it as more of a compliment to GS than a slam on LA though.

I agree with Curry, Draymond and Klay but not the others

Disclaimer: I didn't watch the video since I don't like Cowherd and I only fast forwarded to the pictures of the players

Rookies and 2nd year players on the Lakers so it's not really an apples to apples comparison.

Lets' revisit that argument in 3 or 4 years.

I genuinely don't know how Cowherd has a job, let alone gets paid as much as he does. I think there's at least a couple people on this site that could have a better show. He's just another example of the crap people are willing and eager to consume these days. He's just a crappy version of Stephen A. Smith or Skip Bayless.

I fail to see how there could be a "crappy" version of either of those two as they are already Bottom of the Barrel, Mouth-breather Entertainment. He's just a horse of a different color. Says whatever he thinks about in the moment, flips back and forth 10 times in the course of a month on any given topic...Only in a society as weak minded and "instant gratification" oriented as ours could men like them not only survive, but thrive.

He's actually a very gifted radio personality. I understand not agreeing with his takes or liking him, but he's actually very good at what he does. He makes doing what he does look easy, and it's not.

***edit, I don't listen enough to dislike him for his takes *** I haven't witnessed what Savory is referring to, but I could see how that would make someone unlivable. Still a gifted radio personality, or there is no way he'd be as successful.

@Savory Griddles he's worse than them. I believe wholeheartedly that Skip Bayless works hard to be what he is, embraces what he is (a sports clown), and comes up with at least information to support his stupid ideas. By all accounts he's a hardworking person and Stephen A. is at least somewhat connected to players and knows things going on behind the scenes. Cowherd does none of those things. It takes a production team of dozens to make his show and like you said he flip flops all the time and just says any stupid inflammatory thing to get attention.

@sirronstuff the effortlessness of his show is based primarily on all the other people that work on his show. His laid-back personality is good for radio, but his job isn't all that hard. He just goes on the radio and talks about the things people put in front of him. I can do that. A few of us in here can do that and we can do it in a more insightful and pleasant way than him. Unfortunately I'm not sure insightful and pleasant sells these days.

I don't disagree with any of that. :D I'm just saying I find them all equally reprehensible for different reasons. I feel like Cowherd is trying to be Simmons, except that Simmons is talented

Not sure if his name been brought up but id like mgmt to take a shot @ larry sanders. He was runored last off season in ref to young trying to recruit him. Hopefully the last 2+ yr off has cleared his demons...he is still in his late 20s i believe and at his peak his paint protection advanced stats were tops in the league. He is similar to dj type big but is a better pnr defender. Id either ask him to come to camp or offer a 1+1 with team opt for 2nd yr

I think if you decide you don't want to make millions of dollars to play a game so that you can smoke weed, he probably removed himself from consideration from anything but D League opportunities to start.

I think that to simpliplistic.....he had issues greater than weed....according to him he did not likelike the life style and had other personal issues. From his recent interview it sounds likelike he has worked out his issues....not saying max him out but a 3-5mill contract won't kill our flexibility

Well if he was that good of a defender and we gave the paint god a 2nd chance after more serious stuff in college maybe they should take a look at him. Sounds like he was better than him actually playing in the League, not college, since Khmrp says he was DJ like around the rim on defense and better at P&R.
