Which was the wrong gamble on Nick's part. Good job by Byron of punishing a dude who is 30 years old and acting like a kid. Just because it's LA, doesn't mean Nick gets to be a diva.

Yes, I do. Very clearly. However, he was playing in a system that catered to his strengths and made him look better that he what he is...couple that with Byron's offensive system, Swaggy struggling, getting bench, a bum ankle, that won't happen. Tank On!

    Nick isn't a scrub.

Also I wasn't saying we wouldn't get the pick if Nick was healthy, just saying with almost all of our half-way-talented players hurt that pick is as good as ours. Nick, Kobe, and Randle are probably our most talented players. All of them missing time? We're maybe the worst team in the NBA.

Great. I hope our record reflects the worst record in the NBA by the end of the season; I hope Byron eclipses that 26 game losing streak in he had in Cleveland which netted them a number 1 pick. As for Nick, we have different opinions...I'd trade him if I could.

Nick Young on what the Lakers must do without Kobe: "Pretty much just give me the ball and get out of the way."

This guy is getting better and better...Sure, Nick. Remember, Shoot More for Okafor!!!

Wow. That is by far Nick Young's worst 2P% of his career.

I wouldn't trade Young unless he asked for it. Perfect kind of player for a rebuild on a good price.

But Nick can effect the amount of lotto balls. We can end up 4th-5th still without Kobe, any serious downtime with Nick and we could be headed for a bottom 3 finish. There is a big jump in % from even 4th to 2nd.

^ Honestly for me it's not about getting the #1 pick, it's just about getting a Top 5 pick. In that case the ONLY way we're guaranteed we can't get Sterned is if we end up with the 1-2 worst record in the NBA.

3rd is really close. 4th has a really good shot, but the only real way to guarantee that pick is a 1-2 finish.

I can't even imagine how mad, hurt, and lost we would all feel if we finished with the 3rd or 4th worst record and still didnt land in the top 5 after the lottery. There would be murder going on in the streets.

Give him the ball. Might be fun to watch from time to time.

Nick needs to act like a vet. If he acts like a pro when we are losing it should be easy for him to handle it when we win. Work on developing your weaknesses, have faith your shot will return and work with your team, not against it by hustling - he knows better than that.

He is too talented to just be written off (though he is doing himself no favors right now), and I think he is more than just the MDA system making him. But if he fights Byron, he will lose (and probably end up pushing the baby buggies with the rookies). He may feel Byron clowned him by benching him. He needs to let it go and do his talking on the court (the place where Byron earned his respect). Just don't make any game winners because there is still a lot left in the tank right now.

I honestly am starting to think that, with the Laker's recent luck, if we are not guaranteed a top 5 pick, we won't get it.
