obviously this is sickening and tragic, but do we expect every child's death to be covered by the media?

 

yeah, probably if this kid had been killed by cops and/or his killer hadn't been arrested right away

in this case, the killer was arrested immediately and certainly faces deep legal trouble. comparing this to incidents like george floyd is apples to oranges

 

no one's denying that the media has an agenda

if the kid had been black as well, there would be absolutely zero coverage of this anywhere

his killer was arrested and charged and hopefully will rot away in a jail cell for the rest of his life. that's how the system is supposed to work. meanwhile, the cops who killed breonna taylor were never arrested and are still employed. that's why there is a difference in media coverage and public reaction

 

I don’t think y’all really care about the principle of honesty in the media, just when it’s against your agenda.
