The Lakers can't trade that pick before the deadline.

Ingram and George can play together.

By the way, Boston is probably in the mix, too. Tell them no, PG. You want to be a Laker...

I don't think it would take the entire roster. I think Indiana waits until the offseason anyway. If we keep the pick, then you can offer it, and maybe Randle, Clarkson and Brewer's expiring for George. You'd still have about a max slot available. Try to sign Griffin.

    Zu/Mozgov
    Griffin/Nance
    George/Deng
    Ingram/?
    Russell/?

But if we really believe in Ingram, it's probably more beneficial to target Butler than George simply because of fit and price.

I wouldn't trade anyone now.... Play the waiting game, George wants to be a laker. They'll get desperate and other teams will worry he'll bolt to us so they don't want the risk. Offer them Houston's pick, JC ,a second round pick and Nick young

Griffin? Blake Griffin? I can't make the sound in text I want to get across, it's something like EUGHCHEW! What's up with people wanting to sign all these Clippers? F*** Blake Griffin, flopping, soft piece of crap, and f*** Chris Paul, dirty, flopping little whiner. Bleh. I'd rather sign no one and wait on the 2018 free agents, I really like Gordon Hayward for example. There's a guy that got a contract above his production and then went out and lived up to it and even exceeded it.

I hate it too, but George + Griffin added to this group of kids? We're good again, and in 2-3 years REALLY good.

I don't want to get good by selling my soul. I've had this stance for years. I'd rather build and get good with guys I like than be good now with LeBron James, because f*** LeBron, that's just me. That's how I've always been, no Paul Pierce, no LeBron, no Dwight Howard, hate all those guys.

Best thing that could happen is the C Bags trade their farm for George and then he bolts to the Lakers hahaha

    Woj bomb.
Guess they can't get him help? I'd try to hold off on a trade for PG or Butler until the offseason when we know if we have to pick as an asset or not. But if i don't want him going to the C Bags knowing Bird is calling the shots and Boston has the assets, ugh.

I'm torn. I wonder if this is posturing or if it's legitimate. There's been smoke about Paul George wanting to come home for years.

It sounds to me that they're trying to get as much out of Boston as they can, but at the same time maybe they want Paul George going West so the Pacers don't have to see him as much.

I'd trade Russell/Randle/Clarkson right now today for George if that was on the table. The problem of course is keeping the pick. First of all, George may like the idea of coming home but he wants to win. We need to keep as many assets as we can so we can put someone else with him in order to be more competitive. Second of all, bringing Paul George in makes us instantly so much better. It would make it all the more likely that we lose not only the young assets we have now, but likely the Top 3 pick as well.

Tough call. I'd make it, but it's a tough call. If Indiana waits until the deadline to move Paul George, I'd take a bigger swing at him if we keep the pick. If we keep the pick, the landscape changes significantly.

Best scenario is to secure the 17 and 19 picks and stars chasing again before the draft/during the summer ... and hope nothing happens before the end of the trade deadline .

    This is probably Magic/Pelinka strategy

That's why it's best to wait till the off season. If we keep the pick and it's fultz or ball then we can first slice their throat if George really wants to be a laker and no one else, then we can even keep our core and the pick. Offer peanuts when they are desperate
