the nets were in SF following the lakers game and were tested when they returned from there so i'm really hoping those players contracted it there and not before the lakers game

we can kiss the season goodbye

Why? They will all likely make a full recovery if they have any symptoms at all.

they suspended the season after one player tested positive

All known and unknown infected players will recover well before the best case scenario return date of mid-late June. Whether the league resumes during that period is up to whether or not we "flatten the curve" as a society.

Let's look out for each other. Unless Rob Pelinka calls you out, then rat out the whole company. Thank you.

    OH CRAP!!

This season is history. If we were the Clippers we could hang a best regular season western conference banner.

so a player on the ottawa senators hockey team has tested positive and apparently other players are experiencing symptoms as well

they played the kings at staples center the night after the nets-lakers game. does anyone know if the visiting NHL teams share the same locker room as visiting NBA teams at staples? if they do, then they likely acquired it from the nets. which means there will more than likely be lakers players who test positive

    F*** me

    EDIT: just saw this tweet

Seems pretty obvious we’re all going to be exposed. Might as well get it over with and move on from the panic.

I'm still hopeful for a June playoff in empty arenas. Bummer to lose all that momentum (MIL/LAC), and now Giannis gets a chance to tune up that knee, but I'll take it.

Honestly I know younger people and someone in athlete shape isn’t in too much trouble if they catch this, but I’m a bit worried if Javael tests positive he could be seriously effected.

Remember what pneumonia did to him last year? Imagine what this might do to his breathing way after everyone else is cleared to play.

Apparently Adam Silver has floated the idea of setting up a charity all star-esque game to give the public something to watch while everything is still locked down. I’d imagine it might be very difficult to pull off logistically. You’d probably only be able to use players who have recently tested negative (and stayed isolated since their negative test). And travel would be complicated. Not sure how you comply with the recommendations to keep events below 10 people considering you need refs, coaches, bench players, etc.

But I would be so happy if they could pull it off.

The person, who was tested after experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 on March 16, is currently under care of team medical staff and in self isolation."
