Lots of center prospects left, including a 24 year old Goldin who was mocked to us before

Whoever it is, I hope they fit a need, and that they actually get decent PT right off the bat…

true, but i just go back to the fact that you have koloko and hayes if this is all you want. the answer at center for this upcoming season isn't going to be found in this year's draft. not even in the lottery. phx drafted the highest rated center AND went out and traded for one.

That’s my concern. Lost a lot of confidence in JJ having the patience to let young players develop after this past season, especially towards the end of the regular season and in the playoffs.

no 2nd rounder should be getting much time given our current roster makeup and ambitions.

i agree it was a little disappointing that knecht, goodwin, and even hayes went from usable to unusable in like, six days, though.

JJ let Knecht develop fine during most of the regular season. He panicked during the playoffs and didn't play *anyone* off the bench regardless of age. Hopefully he corrects that in the future, but it doesn't make me worry about development of young players in general.

Glad to see we traded up. In the 40-45 range we can probably get (maybe) Watkins, Broome, Small, Toohey (who we worked out), Zikarsky (if we want a center project), Peavey, RJ Luis. Out of those I think we’ve got minutes next year for Broome, Watkins, Peavey.

Our targets don’t usually leak, so it’s probably not actually him.

In normal cases I’d agree, but with the needs we have with this roster, this pick has to be a homerun.

I do want us to draft a young big with that 45th pick. I don't expect much if anything for next season from him. Bigs usually take some development time. Zu took time to become the impact player he is today. But we need to start that development pipeline.

No , he's kind of Zubac.
He's senior ,played 4 years in college
He easily can get 15+ points and 10 rebounds, but Lakers rather will develop Koloko

No 2nd round pick will save the Lakers or should have any considerable impact for a number of years

I'm happy we moved up, but I feel like they have to be trying to either move up again or needed a slightly more enticing pick than No. 55 to package in a trade for a player. There's no way to know one of the guys you want would still be there at 45, but not at 55. You can't predict the bottom quarter of the draft. We may end up making the pick and use that reasoning, but they're either trying to make a secondary move or this trade feels premature.

He said it in his interview
Basically, everyone compares me to this... like him... from “Clippers”, I forgot name...

    –With Ivica Zubac!

–With Zubac, yes. I've walked around Los Angeles, and every time I walk past someone, they're like, «Oh, Zubac!». I think: «No... no, not Zubac».
