I actually plan on seeing it at least once more in the theater. Maybe more than once until "You Know What Comes Out" later in the month. (Super Troopers 2 obviously)
My wife who is hard to please when it comes to movies actually loved Ready Player One. Of course I’ve been waiting since I heard Spielberg was directing it to see and it has been very worth it. Instantly my favorite movie of the year so far. And oh yeah.... Spoiler “It’s ****ing Chucky!!!” That was great!
Spoiler The fact that Chucky was essentially a devastating AOE move is amazing. (for those who don't know, AOE stands for area of effect...which essentially means it takes out any enemies in a selected area)
Three Billboards Outside Ebbing Missouri was OUTSTANDING. Do yourself a favor and watch this great movie.
Yep, I was sold the minute I saw the first trailer and its been getting great reviews from what I've heard so far.
Watched the documentary - Andre The Giant last night on HBO. I've never been a fan of wrestling, never watched it growing up, and even now as an adult I just don't understand it at times because how can fans be so interested in a wrestler and root for him and it won't even matter how good that person is because it's all scripted. With all that said I enjoyed the documentary and can see why Andre was such a lovable guy. I also could understand when the documentary was talking about WrestleMania III why people got so hyped about it because you have two icons and no one, even Hulk Hogan, didn't know how it was going to play out at the very end. They did a good job comparing it to other sports great if they had competed against each other. Just a very kind, gentle soul he was deep down. Can't imagine living or trying to survive when you can't ever go anywhere without someone wanting to bother or talk with you. Its why his hometown near Paris and the small town in NC were so precious to him.
The Miracle Season was a great sports movie, a lot of heart felt moments and hits a little close to home for me. Blockers was a nice surprise. Thought it was going to be a heavy teen movie but they shared screentime with the parents. John Cena was a little surprisingly good. Rampage was fun, a better monster fight than Pacific Rim. It did try to be too serious at times. Rock was the usual but didn't know Neagan was going to play a minor character.
WARNING THIS TRAILER WILL PRETTY MUCH HAND YOU THE PLOT OF THE MOVIE. ONLY WATCH IF YOU DON'T CARE ABOUT KNOWING EXACTLY WHAT IS HAPPENING IN THE MOVIE. What in the world is happening in this franchise?? This thing has flown completely off the rails of the originals. I appreciate a fresh concept actually, but I don't view this as a continuation of the original at all. This looks like a completely new franchise to me.
This. I feel like it's been overrated a bit. Good premise and the first half of the movie had me full on engaged. The bathtub and scenes leading up to it were great but it went downhill afterwards. And that ending was so much cheese. Ugh. EDIT: So many typos, sorry.
Agreed. It started strong, then just derails with little details that they miss and scenes that aren't staged properly (the flooding). I liked a lot of the stylistic choices and there's some nifty camera work at times.
A Quiet Place doesn't deserve the 8.1 on IMDB. Good movie worth checking out, but not worth the hype, as others have said. A little too quiet (no pun intended) for me.
Thank you for taking the bullet for me and everyone else. I'm not watching the trailer. But they just don't make them like they used to. The original Jurassic Park is superiors to anything else they have tried to re-create.
