I definitely didn't like the preachiness but I loved Wall-E and his story. I can see that.

the dog in Up was annoying as hell. totally corny and took me out of the movie. Also balloons lifting a whole house was ridiculous, and I'm not one of those " has to adhere to reality" movie guys.

Wall-e was boring as hell. Didn't care about the characters. at all.

I watched, Room, a couple of nights ago and its fantastic. I thought I knew the whole premise of the movie, but watching it I finally realized why the mom was doing what she was doing. But going into the movie I thought it was for her own selfish reason. I won't say anything more for those who have not seen it, but go and watch this movie.

Brie Larson gave a great performance and Jacob Trembley, how can you not like him.

I haven't seen Creed, but I will. I saw "Bridge of Spies," really enjoyed it, and thought Rylance was good. Not Oscar good but good.

I don't really like Pixar film. They're mawkish. That said, Brave was solid. Short Circuit - I mean Wall-e - was vastly overrated. It's not a bad film, in my view, but it's not that good either.

I watched The Good Dinosaur Wednesday. It's a very simple story, a very simple Pixar film, you could call it lesser, certainly second tier. It was also a very odd Pixar film, I don't think they've made one quite like it, the premise is weird, and it's more violent and graphic and honest than I was expecting or used to in a "kids" film. I really enjoyed it though, it reminded me a little of the Lion King for obvious reasons for anyone who has seen it, and I did not guess from the trailers at all that it is pretty much a Western, a boy and his...dog(?) finding their way in the world. I will say I enjoyed it wayyyyyy more than I did Brave. ;) It was for sure incredibly mawkish though, positively oozing saccharine. :D

You do realize, @trodgers , we've all just added "mawkish" to our vocabularies. And we'll be using it regularly; you little thesaurus, you.

I thought it was alright! It was definitely kind a weird one just with the vibe of that movie. The drug trip scene was my favorite. So unexpected that I laughed out loud in the theater.

You should watch Zootopia though, it's great. Probably one of Disney's best animated movies in a while. I actually thought it was better than Frozen or Big Hero Six which was their last two offerings.

Good Dinosaur was OK. It's sort of one of those films that you enjoy, but within a couple weeks you'll forget you ever saw it unless it's brought up.

Zootopia was really good. There were times where the racial stereotype message was a bit to on the nose and it pulled you out of the movie, but they kept it subtle most of the time.

It wasn't just racial stereotypes (although that's the clearest one), it's all profiling in general. A good and relevant message, but also the world they build was really cool and fun and unique. It was one of the more well-thought out worlds that Disney has created in a long time with or without Pixar.

I plan on seeing Zootopia, I think it looks very good, not sure if I'll make it to theaters or wait for blu-ray though. Also I want it on record that I don't like Frozen. It's one of the most overrated Disney movies ever. It has a famous song, it has an annoying snowman character that's great for selling toys, I think it kinda sucks actually. Tangled was much better and never gets talked about. I did like Big Hero 6 a lot though.

I agree. I think the soundtrack is great for Frozen, but the movie is very average.

Zootopia I honestly loved. I thought it was great.

    WALL-E IS A NATIONAL TREASURE.

Finally got around to watching Spotlight the other day. Great film, started a little slow but really draws you in.

Even though Zootopia is getting rave reviews, I'll wait til that hits the stores.

Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Toy Story 3

Wow, I just realized there are a BUNCH of critically-acclaimed 3D animated Pixar/Disney movies that I've never gotten around to seeing. (As in the ones I just listed are the only ones I've watched).

I think I want to watch either Wall-E, Inside Out, Up, or The Incredibles
