Saw Regarding Henry on netflix this past week. Harrison Ford was great in it and its a great story. Definitely recommend it.
What you saw in the commercials is exactly how he is in the movie. Looks like he spent a lot of time in the makeup chair while they fixed his hairline too. Luckily he only has about 10 minutes of screen time. His part is appropriate for the movie though -- the guy she's dating is sports medical doctor.
It'd be more appropriate if Hader's character was a sports "nutritionist" in Miami, visiting with LeBron as he gave him "nutrition" injections.
Southpaw was excellent. For the most part, the movie and fight scenes were believable. Forrest Whitaker was outstanding, as usual. I'm not sure how good Eminem would have done, but Jake was great. I found myself wondering how Eminem would do different scenes, say various lines, etc. Definitely check it out.
Was the new Mad Max written by a 12 year old? The stunts and driving were spectacular, but the characters, script, and plot were just awful. Guitar guy made my wife and i LOL every time he was on screen.
Actually it was a 70 something year old man. I thought the plot was incredibly simple, but the characters were awesome. The script wasn't the strongest, but it really didn't need to be. Guitar guy was fantastic! The whole point of the movie is it's over the top and that guy really embodied that mentality.
over the top is right. everything about the movie seemed like beavis and butthead directing: " wouldn't it be cool if..." Eye-rolling awesome is how I'd rate it.
Ditto. C+? B-? Actually, I thought LeBron's character was great. No, he can't act, and I can't stand him, but he made me laugh repeatedly. My wife praised me after watching the film for not being a LeBron hater.
I also saw Ex Machina and Maggie. Maggie was a super bummer. Sad and slow. Arnie was pretty good in it, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you like utterly bleak films. C-. Ex Machina could have been so much better. I'm disappointed because although I had no expectations going into the film, the beginning was really enticing. Rich idea, loads could have been done, and some cleverness, but ultimately unbelievable and lifeless human characters at every turn. I'm sure the writers thought it was clever to put the twist into the film they did, but I simply disagree. Doesn't really withstand rigorous philosophical scrutiny, but maybe it wasn't meant to. I do think you should RedBox it; there are some funny moments. C/C+
I've seen these flicks so far from 2015 The Woman in Black: Angel of Death; Taken 3; Blackhat; Ex Machina; Mortdecai; Kingsman It Follows; Jupiter Ascending; Focus Chappie Avengers: Age of Ultron Maggie Spy Terminator Genisys; Self/Less; Ant-Man; Trainwreck
Can't be in ranking order, Jupiter Ascending was shockingly awful. If trodgers disagrees I'd be surprised, it was incredibly apparent why they pushed its release back so far.
Hah! They're listed by release date. Jupiter Ascending might be the worst I've seen this year. I turned it off with at least 40 minutes remaining. Then The Woman in Black. Those were the two worst.
