Whoa whoa whoa. Imma stop you right there. Jurassic World might be good, great even! But Jurassic Park is one of the best movies of all time! That's all imma say! Nothing against Jurassic World, Chris Pratt is a G, but my man Spielberg made one of the best movies of all time!
It was a great movie but I will not say that it was better than the first. The first was able to capture an experience that cannot be replicated. It was "revolutionary" in a sense.
Jurassic World looks awful, too. 7.5 on imdb. If it were good it would have a super pumped up rating out of the gates. Will miss it. Watching a lot of tv recently. Will say more later. I'm looking forward to this: [media]
I thought it was extremely cheesy and soulless. Bryce Dallas Howard is hot but can't act. Chris Pratt was just okay. So much blatant product placement. Too much tongue-in-cheek humor...what's with movies doing this these days? You don't have to pack every scene with some smartass sarcastic remark. Spoiler Bringing back Dr. Wu as some sort of stereotypical mad scientist? Weak. I mean, the film had a friggin woman outrunning a t-rex in 5 inch heels FFS. Barely an average movie, at best. On my list, it's probably tied with JP3 at the bottom, or maybe even a little worse. The depth of the plot and characters was paper thin. It doesn't even belong in the same sentence as the original film. SO disappointed. On the other hand, saw Mad Max Fury Road and really enjoyed that. The plot was a little simple, but the action was really, really well done. It keeps you engaged throughout the movie.
Im a sucker for dinosaurs and what not so i think it was cool. MM was great, Spy - much better than i thought, Get Hard, good enough for few laughs (i love Will and can barely stand Kevin though).
You guys should watch Inside Out the new Pixar/Disney movie. It's probably the best one they've made since maybe UP or Toy Story 3. Really good for adults and kids. Incredibly relatable and really funny. 9/10 on that movie.
Was going to pass on inside out but I've heard incredible things about. "If you watched Inside Out and didn't tear up, you'll be representing Earthrealm in the next Mortal Kombat Tournament because you have no soul to take."
I didn't tear up necessarily, but it's definitely a really relatable movie. It's different than say Wall-E which I really enjoyed but wasn't really relatable at all.
I'm really excited for this movie. The original (foreign movie) is in IMDB's top 150. Secret In Their Eyes http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1741273/?ref_=nv_sr_2 A tight-knit team of rising FBI investigators - Ray and Jess, along with their District Attorney supervisor Claire - is suddenly torn apart when they discover that Jess's teenage daughter has been brutally and inexplicably murdered. Now, thirteen years later, after obsessively searching every day for the elusive killer, Ray finally uncovers a new lead that he's certain can permanently resolve the case, nail the vicious murderer, and bring long-desired closure to his team. No one is prepared, however, for the shocking, unspeakable secret that will reveal the enduring, destructive effects of personal vengeance on the human soul. Julia Roberts Chiwetel Ejiofor Nicole Kidman Dean Norris Great cast and I'm a sucker for a good Drama (my favorite genre)
The original was GREAT. Every bit as good as Girl with the Dragon Tat. I didn't know they were remaking it, and that terrifies me.
I've been lurking... decided to peek my head out of the shadows. Nice to see all the same folks are still around.
Just watched the original. So great!! I loved it, and without spoiling it for anyone, I'll just say the ending is so much more than I expected.
