Good news. Let's hope he gets appropriate minutes so he doesn't sulk on the pine. I have a feeling he'll be on the floor during crucial times.

It just hit me how unlikely his making the team was to us back when we first heard about it. He had to fight to earn this spot. Yeah, he's not the same player, but making it back at his age after being out a while, pretty crazy. He has to be thrilled right now, he seems like he's having fun being back. If he teaches Randle all season, shows some of the young guys what toughness and defensive energy are all about, it's worth it.

Meh. Whatever. He's here for Julius and his growth, IMO. I'm glad Scott has an infatuation with A. Brown; I'd want to see more of what we have in him that Ron at this point.

Shams is also reporting that we have a long term plan with Ron to transition as a coach. That's great move, IMO.

I dig this. We might be so good we make the playoffs or so bad we live up to ESPN's standards but one thing will be constant, MWP will bring the entertainment.

This is perfect. Give the young guys proof of what Metta is all about, the work he puts in. Then next season as a player development coach Metta has their respect and they're willing to listen to him.

Relative new comer to the news breaking industry, but he's legit. Woj has vouched for him and I think that he's taking some of that pressure off of Woj actually to be the guy breaking every story.

Thrilled about this one. MWP is going to be important for this team on the court, on the bench, on the practice floor, on the road, and in the locker room. Careful Scott, Coach World Peace is coming for your job.

    Hooray for World Peace!

I love the idea of Coach Metta. Unless Jabari Brown becomes a superstar in this league we won't regret this at all.

Metta can absolutely make a good coach. Attitude-wise he is single-minded in purpose, just as he stated earlier about not being that excited about making the cut because all he is thinking about is winning a championship. He's like Kobe in that regard. From a technical sense he's has great defensive knowledge and the fact that he has no lateral movement anymore isn't really necessary to coaching, you can slow things down in practice. Still has fast hands. Can teach stripping the ball, wearing down your man etc. And just maybe one day if we see a brawl breakout we'll see a coach in there elbows high doing the sprinkler dance.

I would back defensive assistant coach Metta Wordl Peace over no plays Madsen and "all day everyday" (a bad coach) Mike Clown. Not to damn him with faint praise or anything. My head said amnesty Metta the first time, my heart now says welcome back and donating your trophy after having donated your ring you are truly making the world a Metta place to live in Mr Ron Artest.

MWP could probably convince anyone on the squad to play D or they will get the Tyler Hansbrough treatment.

I like Metta but he's a strange fellow. There are other ways of raising money for charity than auctioning off priceless things like your dpoy trophy.
