https://www.yahoo.com/sports/sources-carmelo-anthony-traded-oklahoma-city-thunder-171255871.html for Kanter, a 2nd rounder, and a ham sandwich (Doug McDermott) Annnnd the west gets stronger. cheers to another super team?
I said last night OKC has nothing to offer for Melo, clearly I was wrong NY was willing to take a really weak package. I know Melo isn’t what he was, but wow. Melo isn’t what he was though, so this still doesn’t make OKC a title contender to me. Probably better than Houston though, depending what OKC has left around these 3 guys.
Stars getting traded for chips and a drink. But you know, when we offer a burger it's blasphemous. Watch every team try and shut us down next summer.
LOL. Enjoy being a "star" in OKC when Russ and PG come to LA next year On a seriuos note though. I hope it won't work out for them, would SUCK if PG decided to stay
Russ Roberson George Melo Adams Not bad if they can learn to share the ball especially Roberson and Adams who are defensive oriented and don't need the ball to be effective plus PG is a good defender himself. After that? Patrick Patterson?
who's going to guard the pf spot? both melo and george have been...reluctant...to do so in the past. if that's changed, that starting five is a bear.
that's all it took to get melo? kanter, mcdermott, and a pick? pretty sure if the lakers tried acquiring him NY would've asked for ball+randle+3 future 1st rounders what a ******* joke this league is
Well yeah, probably. But the West got tougher yet again... we could have swing Dung and Zu for Melo or something.
I've given Melo a lot of thought. He's not who I want going forward. Especially when the 2 FAs we're going after this off-season play the same position. Melo is also a ball stopper. And that contract. I'd love to get rid of Dung, but not sure this is the route to go.
I doubt NY would have been happy having to pay both Deng and Noah awful contracts. If we were interested, you'd damn well expect them to demand more than what was reasonable.
