That was posted somewhere else I think, but very cool.

I wonder if his mama knows something that we don’t

So nice to see! This is what got Reaves on the floor. Christie is meant to have a great stroke, but he can get playing time based off his defence alone.

Moody is also slated to be the Warriors backup SF this season too after losing Toscano, Gary Payton and OPJ.

Shave your head, Max. Embrace the Mamba-esque appearance

Forget Bo Cruz, Vanessa and LeBron should collaborate on a new Kobe biopic:Noddingyes:you have the perfect actor to play him with Spike Lee directing.

It's all about effort. Athletic guys that work on their stamina can (and should) be great defenders. People prefer to launch half court threes or complain about double teams in pickup game though ;)

exhibit b of our summer league team playing better ball than the varsity:

at the end of that clip, christie gets beat, his man helps, then christie steps up to help the secondary attack.

varsity plan there is AD cleans up, we hope.

I'm guessing we will have a better plan and better execution this season.

everyone seems to be on board with blaming vogel, but he's proven to be one of the best defensive coaches in the league time and again. i highly doubt he just told people to stop playing defense or that ham telling people to do so is the difference.

Pretty sure this roster shaping up better for defense than what Frank was given + Brick and ALL his problems in that area with bad attitude about it and not yet in “contract/career year” situation.

again, as much as russ suddenly playing defense would delight me...it would also really piss me off at the same time.

and so far, we swapped out jones for deandre jordan, which is a big upgrade defensively at center. and JTA and brown should do better than ariza/ellington/baze, but only marginally, imo. especially if the stars continue to believe it's everyone else's job.

No, just a bit jumpy there, I liked Vogel. His hands were tied and the players didn't listen to him as he had little control of what was going on with Rambis in the meetings and so many veterans that had given up or were injured. I wanted to keep Vogel but since the change was made it seems obvious Ham is in a better position with more authority and control. Picked his own staff, good contract. He is free to hold players accountable. It will be much better but that is no condemnation of Vogel. Frank would do better given the same circumstances as Ham has.

The way AR came around it is likely he will be a starter or get significant time. That alone will give our defense a boost. Jones is a major upgrade and hopefully Russ will be gone or in a limited role. With Ham's security he will be able to hold players more accountable. Those factors point to a big improvement on defense. It is even possible that Lebron may decide to play some defense if he believes we can actually win. I don't expect him to get too crazy but a little team defense would go along way.

Lebron and AD didn't want Frank back. If they did he wouldn't have gotten fired. If they don't show up to work this season, they should be fired too.

Hopefully Darvin gets a full season of Lebron and AD. If he does, then nobody is going to miss Frank Vogel.

It's a journey, he's 19, if he were more polished we wouldn't have been able to draft him. The youngster has the physical tools, he needs the reps. The internal desire to be great is on him. I think Max is an excellent prospect.

He gets rid of Brick OR unlike for Vogel … Brick actually cooperates on everything asked of him on O & D plus all the new young legs and better D guys on roster plus his own chosen staff …. won’t suck for his chances either now, “hater”. Brick “apologist”.

What he needs is for Lebron James and Anthony Davis to be healthy and engaged for a full season LT. If Vogel had that for the last two seasons, he wouldn't have gotten fired. It wasn't the case and we moved on. For some reason you guys seem to have already forgotten how special a Lebron/AD pairing truly is. It's magic, the team has never been any good with just one or the other. That is what allows all the other guys the opportunity, to just play their role off of those two and we succeed. The main thing is the main thing for me.

99.999999999999999% of that awful season, when it comes to the disgraceful defensive performances, is on THE PLAYERS.
