not sure i'm going this far, but the financial commitment means we get to find out. i do agree that ham didn't give him a fair shot.
I understand your hesitancy because of hambone but Max is going to ball. Got all the tools, just needed time to get comfortable. Instead, he got jerked around.
We are betting on the karmic forces favoring us with his brother being with the Clips. Morris twin effect to the title
He must be in the rotation now. We already have 3 unplayable guys and with this salary, we can't afford to have him sitting out. I don't think he's worse than Braun or Jaquez that are relevant in winning teams. So I trust him to play well in his role
Unplayable(But will be forced to play due to roster construction)players that are on the roster: Max Christie Christian Wood JHS Maxwell Lewis Jaxson Hayes Bronny James Cam Reddish That is half your damn roster.
Yep, it doesn't look good. Especially when Gabe was unhealthy most of the season, and we still have Bron and AD who can go out anytime. But I imagine 3 of those 6 (excluding Max) will not be in the roster when training camp starts
His play didn't bc he wasn't allowed to play but his skill and talent does. This will seem like a very cheap contract soon.
At 8% increase First year $7,100,300 Second year $7,668,324 Third year $8,278,791 Fourth year $8,940,586
Really friendly contract for a guy who if anything regressed. He's really young though so hopefully he'll put in the work to earn this
Regressed? You guys are wild with the Max slander. Bury him before he’s had time to shine- I hope you enjoy it. I’m keeping receipts.
I’m glad we kept him, but why are we giving literally everyone a player option, are we not able to keep or sign guys without that? That’s the reason we’re stuck with all of Wood, Hayes, and Reddish right now, and those contracts aren’t as attractive later on in trades because they aren’t team options.
yeah, in this specific case, we avoided RFA. perhaps no biggie, maybe nobody wanted max. but maybe a team strikes out in FA and decides to give max a short-term deal at full mle? that adds 5 million to our current bill. with this organization, always follow the money, lol.
was lebron giving up 22 million of his salary for one of those three guys? because that's the only path. that or dumping dlo into air (possibly with draft picks attached). would you trade dlo for any of those straight up?
