If I see Reddish displace Max from the rotation once he’s healthy… I mean I probably won’t do anything but I’ll be very upset!
Cam has been easily better than Max when's he been healthy IMO. i know Max is young and people are hopeful with the flashes he's shown but he's not the lockdown 1v1 defender Vando and Cam are. He's better as a secondary defender and it's more flashes with him on D (he played well against Mitchell vs example but then got blistered by several guys including dudes Lonnie). That being said Max is going to be a good rotation player with the flashes he shown but feels overall he's a year or two away. Maybe it gets accelerated with minutes he's going to get
Max DESERVES more burn. Facts before feelings! I like Cam too, but he’s a black hole on offense. Max is an actual two way player.
with cam and vando both out (and gabe dead), it's time to get an extended look at max playing across the 1-3 positions. i really think he got squeezed early in the season with cam and gabe getting the nod over him and missed some development reps. he should get them now.
I do agree with that. We need to develop Max anyway, and while he's not a star, he'll be a legitimate 3&D player in this league. He does a solid job covering 2, possibly 3 positions. He had a good game against NY; didn't score much, but he only took 2 shots and hit both, plus he had played very solid defense. I think he had 2 blocks, actually.
More than a 3 to go with the D. He’s got a midrange game too and at some point will be throwing down on people which he SOOO much wants to do with his attacks on the basket getting often thwarted at present. Muscles are filling in nicely …. next year for that Baby.
Interesting that Max played more than Rui in that game, and played the entire 4th quarter with Prince, while D'Angelo sat it out. We looked pretty damn good too, I must admit.
Kid has some tools, man, the potential is there for a super solid role player, I really hope he’s not a throw-in in any trades
we need a campaign to get him some respect from officials. he gets fouled on a lot of drives without a call and picks up ticky tack stuff on defense. if both of those things were different, i think there'd be a ton of buzz around him. he's got all the tools for a long career as a rotation-quality player, perhaps more.
I think Bron might not appreciate those campaign dollars being spent elsewhere. Little brother's got game https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3CL6K6MsHA/?igsh=bGZ2am8zM3RieGk2 https://www.instagram.com/reel/C3CF-Qoum5u/?igsh=MTVyNjRkNnphOGtrZw==
He was really really rough defensively to start. Then when he finally settles down and makes positive plays: gets hurt. Feels like this is rinse and repeat with Cam/Vando/Gabe. Basically every decent roleplayer has not chance to get going
