Kid plays beyond his years already, looks like a keeper. He’s got to be working hard as well, he looks night and day more comfortable with his shot from preseason to now.

He already looks like a seasoned player as a defender and his offense is coming along nicely. He’s certainly a keeper and a player we need to develop because he has a lot of potential.

He plays smart like Reaves and is always boxing out like him. Seems totally unaffected by the fact he’s 19 and a rookie and yep that shot looks nice. You can tell he’s got more game on offense but knows he can’t afford to make errors trying to force stuff.

Ham gets credit for developing the boy, if only he was 5 inches shorter then he can have more minutes

This is the lineup that put the game away as well (AD in for Bryant at some point too), size, Schröder/Max/Rui/LeBron/a big.

his hoop iq shines through to me. sneaky good athlete, too--not vertical, but strong and quick. love that he's buying into his early role. hard to keep him off the court in the regular season. he's got some seasoning before he's a playoff performer, imo. but he'll get there, too.

apropos of nothing, i miss caruso.

The Lakers found a Mikal Bridges?

little smaller, less springy, already better with the ball on offense. don't think he can hit bridges at a ceiling.

what if chris douglas roberts decided to play defense?

I thought his real name was Max. But no... it's Cormac. Cormac Christie.

I reacted similarly to Lebron in the moment and missed his reaction.

Love this kid. If Reaves is a Swiss Army knife and Caruso was a defensive dynamo, Christie is an excellent 3&D option.

I don’t want to see his name thrown into trade ideas as filler. He’s a keeper for sure

Too bad he's gonna get squeezed out of the rotation when we are healthy

Honestly though, probably a good problem to have! Anyway, he's a baller and I really like this kid. I would not include him in any trade unless it was for an All Star level, can't miss player. Lakers Scouting department does it once again.

I don't know if he gets squeezed out too much since Ham knows he has been playing really good defense, has size and has been hitting the 3.

I agree. He is playing his role really well. Coach Ham is doing a good job with Max in not asking him to do more than he can yet. If he can figure out how to use Austin properly when he gets back we will be on to something. Are you on the championship train LT???....lol.

We’d have a “shot” with LeBron and AD healthy all the way through the rounds and most of our best players as well but still it would be tough. Plus that’s an awful lot of healthy. Maybe a better shot with one more strategic trade.

If I was the coach I would start him.

even when he screws up on D it's after one or even two great contests or cutoffs. That 3 point shot looks smooth as butter.
