Matt Barnes: Lakers' Free-agent Rut Due To Front Office, Not Kobe

I agree. I do think there is a slight image problem with our front office. Too many critical articles and comments about Jim Buss with Magic ripping him, etc. But that can all change real quick. REAL QUICK. If Love decided he wanted to come here, and we draft one of the bigs, all of a sudden the Lakers will be a premiere destination and the last couple seasons will be viewed as the slight dip that all teams have when coming off a dynasty. Heck, if all we did was get a little luck in the draft and grab Okafor/Towns, Clarkson keeps improving like he is and Randle is the beast we hope, that'll be enough.

Seriously though, that was some candid and interesting reading. Still don't really like him (and again, UCLA is my team and I watched his career there), but stuff like this helps you understand him a little more at least.
