For what it's worth Buha thinks he sticks. Bron and Luka both like him a lot and he brings value to the locker room, filling a Haslem like role.
This is interesting, I haven’t noticed but I’ll look for it now. Might be the reason he’s here and Wood isn’t, and when players to waive are mentioned it’s Cam and not him. The Dudley role
There's definitely value in what he brings as a 13th man. He's leading the cheer squad, he's close with our two best players, he'll speak up when needed, he's a willing teacher of the young kids. If you need a little extra physicality, you can dust him off of throw him in the game. Probably going to miss the open 3, but he'll smack someone if needed. He's end of career Haslem without organizational ties that extensive.
Here's the full article from the above quote. Really good read and why he should and likely will stick over the likes of Cam, Len or Shake
if he's responsible for this, give him a statue. btw, i keep forgetting he's on the roster, and i wonder if he might actually be able to contribute more than say, len or jemison right now as a backup center.
he looks a little slow out there in garbage time, but I think he keeps himself pretty ready if we need him You'd think he might get more run than Len after what we've seen.
Kief even thinks he's washed. We can still send him in the game to wack somebody though. It wouldn't hurt us if he got ejected.
I start him until Hayes is back. We have the worst center rotation I've seen any team trot out in years. Len isn't a NBA player. Koloko is too small. Jemison is a fine 3rd string bruiser. Kief can at least shuffle his feet a bit, set a hard screen, battle for a board and maybe hit 1 three a game. That's better than the field. I start Kief, give Jemison the backup minutes and hand out pink slips to the rest.
Don't want him getting double digit shot attempts, but he's not completely washed. Gave us some good physical minutes against Denver. The pump fake under the basket because his vertical is down to a fraction of an inch was tough though.
He was totally serviceable against Denver and is a much better option than Len. He’s got a little left in the tank. How sweet would it be to be traded back here and win another Chip with us this season?
