    NO.

    He continues to be streaky.

Honestly, I don't think so. He's just streaky. But at least opponents respect his outside shot, so it's all good.

Precisely. Streaky is spot on for Malik. He has always really been this way. The respect factor is huge as it shouldn’t clog the paint each possession he’s out there.

Streaky but the D respects the first attempt as much as the 12th one. That's what matters.

Even if he's off, I'd rather him take 12 than only 4 like he did against Memphis.

he forced a couple that i'd prefer he not, but yeah, you have to respect his jumper, and that changes the geometry.

i think both he and vando play better off the stars, though. each of their flaws get magnified when you don't have a matchup nightmare on offense somewhere else, imo. but they both shine off those, which is important for our current team construction. they're basically the anti-westbrook.

I was told spacing and gravity didn't matter

if theres no one there to take advantage of the gravity in the paint, what good does it do for the team?

His 3pt average has declined for 4 seasons in a row though. If he can get back to 38% that would be fantastic.

schroder has had driving lanes. we put up 123 points without russell, AD, or lebron.

it would be, but the real benefit is the attention. teams may look at that trend and start sagging, but i think they'll stop quickly. he's got a nice looking shot, and leaving him open would be a pretty dicey proposition.

I know he’s streaky, but he’s also a volume shooter, I think you’d prefer him taking more than 4 threes. I’d like to see him get up at least a few more than that, but the threat of his shooting does still matter out there.

I agree, he should be taking more shots. Get into the rhythm.

Without DLO or Bron it's a lot tougher to get him the ball, but yes he has to take more 3s. The good news is he's only taken four 3s or fewer three times this season. The bad, two of those have come in past week when we really need him to crank it up.

He and Rui are capable of more offense than this. They both need to step it up. Sure, if we can get Dlo back that will certainly help.

Ahahaha loved the anti-westbrook take. Perfect

Without LeBron and DLo, there's too attention on him. He literally gets the best defender matchup because he is our biggest perimeter threat. So it will be fine when they are back. Lonnie is better to play this role when they are out and Beasley is better to play with them

Bottom line, he's a legit starting shooting guard in this league. He will definitely get better looks with at least Dlo back. Hopefully that's as soon as the Toronto game. Alongside our full starting lineup he's pretty great. If/when Lebron comes back, look out. I love the composition of our team.

That trade with Utah and Minny was an A plus by Rob. Three starters for Russ, a protected first rounder and a couple seconds. Wow. What an upgrade. Keep all three of these guys next year and hopefully as many of the others as we can. It's a great squad.
