Yeah I've got to agree with you. I'm by no means a Jim Buss fan. Who honestly is? We know nothing about that guy. I just feel like if we're going to bash him, we need to be fair and start bashing the whole damn group. Mitch and Jeanie have been at fault here just as much as Jim has been. Nobody has done their job to the level we have come to expect of the Lakers organization. Obviously when you lose Dr. Buss there's some growing pains, but soon that grace period will be over. This summer is probably Jim Buss's last chance. If we don't get the pick, if we don't get a FA, then I think he's probably finished. The rebuild will be another 2 years extended if we can't at least one really solid asset this summer. Like you said though, I'll save my pitchfork for just a bit longer. We were given a timetable and I expect them to stay true to it.
The key words are "We know nothing about the guy" . He's not Dolan, Cuban, Jerry Jones,or that idiotic Kings owner. He's not a meddling egotistical owner. He stays in the background and lets Mitch do all the press. I honestly feel bad for him, he didn't want his Pops to pass, he was just fine being at his side helping out where he could. Now he's doing the best he can and contrary to all the speculation, and that's all it is, is relying on Mitch to use his knowledge and experience to right the ship.Baptism under fire ain't easy.
i love Magic to death but i really wish he would just stay quiet...he wants big time FAs to come here but he goes to the media and makes it seem like we have an idiot at the helm...kinda counterproductive
