True story. That happened to a friend of my wife in the past 8 months. Was feeding the dog and checking in on the house for her son and his family who were out of town a few days. Must have had a doggie door. She gets there one of the days and walks inside and the place reeks. S*** is all over the rooms. Dog had a big accident and the Roomba plowed right through it and kept going.

She did her best with the floors and carpet but was damned if she was going to try to clean that stoopid Roomba. Tossed it in the trash.

    Hi @revgen !

That isn't the article. There were two anecdotes from the original that were leaked into this one by the Lakers, to get back at Magic and to try to spin the premise about the Laker's dysfunction a little. I just posted about the article in a separate topic but I'll copy that here:

    • What was published today was NOT the ESPN article that AEG buried.
    • That article only had a few anecdotes about Magic's harassment from the original. That wouldn't be enough to push Magic out of the Lakers. The real article had many more and was much more in depth.
    • The stories in this article were from the original. We know the Lakers leaked it as revenge against Magic's First take appearance. They chose ones that wouldn't make the Lakers look bad but would hurt Magic. The article about the dysfunction was going to be written anyways so they wanted to spin it a little as well. Rumors are that Linda is behind this, but I don't know for sure
    • Magic is reportedly going on air tonight to fight back against the accusations. I hear he's mad. More to come
    • The article was about 50-60% true
    • The Buss brothers wanted Mitchell Robinson. I know that for a fact. Magic overruled them. I'm not sure where the information in the article came from. Maybe someone else. It likely isn't true, or Omari wasn't a serious consideration anyways
    Best Regards,
    Mr. Rambis

    Hey @alam1108 !

Magic is going on TV because of the article. The article was buried but the Lakers leaked some of this harassment stuff to hit back at Magic for his First Take drama. Now he's going to hit back at them tonight.

This is all very unprofessional, to say the least.

    Hi @ElginTheGreat !

You are right to be underwhelmed! The original article had several more stories and went much more in depth into Magic's harassment. It was so bad AEG and the Lakers were able to force him out of his job because of it. I doubt they could have done that with this article.

The article was a hit piece against Lakers management. That's why it's mostly about other stuff. The Lakers leaked these short stories last minute from the original as revenge against Magic for his First Take appearance and to spin the article to try to focus more on Magic and less on the front office dysfunction of its current employees. I don't think it worked.

    Hi @Weezy !

You're absolutely right! Great insight! This isn't the article. But there are excerpts from it in this one. I don't want to keep parroting the same info but check out the other posts in this thread and others I've made for more info! Happy to answer any additional questions as well.

    Best,
    Mr. Rambis

It was already announced that he was going to be on ESPN's Finals Preview show later tonight yesterday.
    You're slipping.

    Hi @alam1108 !

Great point! Sorry I forgot to clarify that. He knew it was coming today. Magic is still connected inside and outside the Lakers. ESPN probably reached out to him for comments on it, to be honest. And may have even offered him to come on TV to speak about it, given how well the First Take appearance went for them.

I actually wouldn’t have a hard time buying this. ESPN has been using Magic and the Lakers for NBA game off days ratings for what, a couple weeks now?

Great point @Weezy ! I don't have proof that ESPN did exactly that, but what you described has been their MO for years now. So not a big logical jump to make...

Finally got the emotional space to read that dang article. Man, if even a tenth of it is true, we are screwed. I want us to be successful but this stuff is really more than I can chew on. I pray that it is a total hit piece and that almost none of it is true. If Jeannie herself does not come out and deny it, then I will believe it on all levels. I find it very difficult to believe that Magic was this mean. It goes against everything I have ever witnessed from him. If I find out that this is a hit piece put out by the Lakers FO, I will seriously be considering jumping ship over it. I am not gonna be the last man standing. This is beginning to remind of of when Georgia Frontiere took control of the Rams. It was a giant cluster F that ended out with her bailing out on Los Angeles. etc. etc.

Jeannie is really messing this up on nearly every level, at every fork in the road she makes the wrong decision. She has horrible advisers. I suspect that Kurt Rambis is going to end out not finding any work in this league over it, just as a result of association.

This is single largest negative thing I have ever witnessed with a LA sports franchise. Jeannie, get it together or sell it!!

I have no problem believing he could be a fear monger. We saw it with the way he lit up the facility 6 or 7 games in yelling at Walton for everyone outside his office to hear, and then telling him as if he was a little kid not to interrupt. After letting Lopez and Randle and Bryant go and leaving him with no experienced depth at the 5 behind McGee and no shooters and the earlier statements there was going to be patience. Plus IMO he definitely got the Big Head after getting Bron to L.A.

If that was supposed to make Magic look bad it was a fail. I’m seeing way more comments on Rob and his lies.

If anything it just again highlights the problems with how Jeannie assembled the front office.

Time for the kids to grow up and move on.

It made everyone look bad, if the FO leaked this thinking it didn't make them look bad, ..... well, let's just say they are nuts.
