    Two refs see it

They didn't even consider a whistle. They look like NPCs in a video game

yeah, i've watched luka probably more than anyone other than audiosway, and his complaints are generally quite legitimate.

the reason SGA never complains is that he's rarely fouled without a whistle. same with his forefathers wade and harden. "see, they don't whine!". easy not to whine when you're not wronged.

IF (big if) Luka went to the FT line every time he was actually fouled in games he would be averaging about 20-25 FTs a game. The refs can't be that corrupt (I hope) to be ignoring him this consistently, so I have concluded they all got together and decided to teach him a lesson about his over the top complaining showing them up. I can't think of any other reasonable explanation.

Think his strength just makes him hard to officiate, like LeBron, shaq, Zion, jokic, etc.

I think that too. Although, some are seriously obvious and should be called. I really hope it starts to change with him in LA.

Luka gets mugged pretty regularly. Against OKC last year in the playoffs they were letting Dort get away with whatever he wanted.

yes, yes, his career's over, we get it.

this stuff all reminds me of when lebron came here and people took months to get over it emotionally and accept that he was still good and the lakers franchise wasn't finished as they'd hoped.

I'm sure some Dallas's management and ownership are thinking "can I get away" right now

Lakers could get a massive haul if they decide to trade Luka so either way, this trade was the best for the Lakers short and long-term.

The non-foul calls are annoying but Luka complains about EVERY call. I'm sure the refs at some point are just going to ignore him even if there was a foul just out of sheer annoyance or the boy who cried wolf. I think players are expecting those same James Harden calls from years ago and the league has been very strict on not giving those calls anymore.

Plus, he's getting to the line at the same rate as his career average on a per-minute basis so it's not like they're not giving him calls.

Not really going to look at the Nets game. Lakers down four starters and it did seem like they took that game for granted playing to the level of the Nets.

Lakers will be fine once they're healthy. Not a fan of some of Luka's shot selection, to be honest but could probably blame that on the Lakers lack of overall floor spacing and they're missing a consistent big.

More of his former teammates essentially say the Mavs are full of s***

    Seth Curry
    Josh Green
    Former Mavs exec Haralabos Voulgaris

And the attempt to justify it is still going strong today

"tough decisions are never easy" is a thing this guy opens with?

"what it may allow you to acheive...given all the right considerations" jesus.

"we had the best record in the nba after the trades. then we didn't win the finals. so what do we need to do?"

well, dip****, the answer wasn't: trade one of the best players in nba history before his 26th birthday.

anyway, he'd do himself some favors if he just didn't speak publicly, because he sounds like a complete moron at every turn.

you're the owner; just say, hey, i trust my general manager to do his job. he felt like this was the right way to move forward, and we'll see.

edit: i really wonder if they got sold on this being the herschel walker deal that made the cowboys into three-time champs. let me just say right now that it most certainly is NOT, for many, many reasons.

What a boss. 45/11 shooting over 50% from the field, including 3 pointers (7/13). We just could not win this without three starters. It's gonna be difficult until Bron, Rui and Jax come back.

Put on a clinic tomorrow in Denver, Luka. Include a win with that, then all will be well again despite being shorthanded. Grab this win for us. Show us why you’re highly regarded, and a clear top 3 player in this league.
