At essentially the same $$$ as Lou had ($7.6 mil for next season). The money/contract is a wash.

Brewer replaces Young when he expires this summer. And we got a late first. I'm happy with this.

He's an adequate backup, and we're bringing in a first. No worries.

This was a sac fly maybe, but hard to tell since we don't know what other offers were out there. There was a ton of buzzing interest, but what was on the table we won't know. The Washington pick was the only other team we know for sure offered a 1st and their pick isn't much better than Houston's. So we get a pick and the other piece... maybe this was the best offer.

Liked Lou Williams, but all he would've done here was help win us games, and honestly its best if we don't do that. We got a nice future expiring deal plus a 1st rounder. I ain't mad.

He's a better defender than 3/4 of our team. Be happy.

Brewer is a bit of low IQ player, but he's still in good physical shape, unlike Deng. A good backup for BI whose contract expires in 2018.

Still had 36 hours to see what's out there. Charlotte and Utah and other teams were mentioned. I just don't see this as a good move. Lou was our prize piece to move. I think we settled for less.

We just can't really know that. We know they were interested, but what if those guys weren't offering 1st round picks? I tend to agree this is underwhelming after hearing Charlotte was interested, but we just don't know if they offered anything good.

Perhaps this was the best deal we could have made, Indiana is trying to aquire okafor, Washington wants more talent thank just Lou, Utah has a pretty deep bench already and perhaps offered a 2nd round pick. This is a deep draft so this pick is an asset or a potential talented drafted player

Not a huge fan of the deal. Brewer is a decent bench player but that is a rather late pick. Also Rockets games are now unwatchable with all the free throw attempts.
