Excellent addition. We have some serious depth at our guard spots now, and we need it since Kobe's either not going to be playing a ton of minutes, or he's going to be out injured.
Very good. Limited minutes for Kobe = opportunity for Lou to shine. I'm not sure how he and Swag are going to coexist on this team. It's like having a double microwave off the bench.
No. They made it last season to the playoffs. So they are part of the 7 I was talking about. OKC is in along with everyone else in last season's playoffs except Dallas and Portland. That leaves one slot open for a bunch of teams. Portland, Dallas, Utah, Phoenix, and the Lakers.
I've mentioned a couple times though how can the Lakers "not" make a pitch to the big fish as that would be a really worrisome and bad look to the outside world even if we realistically had no shot at landing them. Sure, a lot of IFs. But we're going to get a good look at the rookies and sophomores starting next week. I just don't anticipate from what I've seen of Russell's skills, Clarkson in league play with all rook team, and what Randle (likely a "lesser" Randle) showed last year in the pre-season games against a lot of NBA guys..... that any of them are going to bust. Same with Hibbert. All the motivation in the world with new start with a glamour franchise & relationship with Kareem, better creating players around him and most of all he's in a contract year with a shot at redemption. Let's hope indeed!!
I think Utah is going to be the surprise cinderella next season. They were really good at the second half of last season.
Reports are we're sending a 2nd for Hibbert, but with this signing, it looks like Swaggy P going to Indy.
Addressed the scoring need off the pine...Williams will be also give young Russell a reliable backcourt mate when they hit the floor together. Good pressure valve. This move makes Young dispensable.
Not bad pick ups after the Aldridge failure. I'm actually optimistic about about getting a few more wins this year.
Dont think were done Nick young might be on his way out and theres a rumor were gonna s&t lin & hill to chicago and getting someone back
He's like Nick the Quick without the Assists. He will probably be our starting point guard to start the season while they groom Russell. I can't imagine that they enticed him here to be a 6th man behind a rookie coming off his best NBA season.
