Yeah it might be. I think Nick can get as hot, but he's not as smart so he'll take progressively dumber shots.
Lou can BS his way to the FT line like few others ... That's the difference between him and Nick ... Lou would make more shots if he wasn't playing so much for the whistle though Young has completely checked out from the game for some time now given his relationship with Boron .. just enjoying his life in LA
surprises me every time he makes a basket while floating to his left in motion that's not exactly easy....
Interesting , Lou and Bass are the 3rd "best" PNR tandem in the league so far according to this "analysis" Definition at the 2 min mark , and segment about Lou and Bass at the 4.55 mark
LOL. That's some lazy crap right there. And the videos are, ironically, show how bad the paring really is. Bass sets great screens, but Lou can't or won't really use them properly, on many occasions dragging both opposing players with him. Or just chucking. Some of these plays can hardly be considered even PnR secondary action. It's just Lou shooting over fools.
I find that Lou/Bass usually results in a bucket, foul, or at least a good look. Then again I'm not watching film and I've started only half watching games... Well when I WAS watching, they did pretty well.
Mostly due to Lou being on fire.... IMO. In many many instances, some of which are in this video, he just shoots over the defender that was absolutely not affected by the PnR. Lou's PnR, to me, is no more than the same ISO, with the same result - Lou shooting semi-open jumper.
True, but there are occasions when he's able to sneak a pass to Brandon for a nice look. The key really is that Bass and Lou are vets and are able to play off each other fairly easily. I see that connection being not too dissimilar to what Russell/Black are supposed to be for us.
I have never been happier to see that Lou Williams is missing a game....if only they said he's out for the season.... I'm looking forward to a HEAVY dose of Clarkson/Russell tonight going up against Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler.
Oh darn, that's a shame, I was really getting tired of a more fluid offense and team game with less ball stoppage and awful chucked threes. Seriously, does anyone here really want Lou back playing? What does it say that I'd rather watch Huertas off the bench for the rest of the season? The only role I want Lou in if he has to be here is 15-20 mins off the bench as a scoring boost. Maybe that's not being fair to Lou, maybe it's on B0ron for playing him 35 mpg and giving him an insane green light. Still, I'm starting to agree with Savory that Toronto isn't worse off for letting Lou walk for a reason.
I like Lou a lot, but whenever he's on the floor our offense stops with him. Sometimes that's good, but it kills the motion and emotion in the team. I don't want to play with a guy who takes every shot, that's not fun. The rest of my game is probably going to take a step back even if it's a subconscious thing.
The thing is BS trusts him with PG duties when he's out there. That's the biggest mistake. If we have him play SG as he's suppose to then I'd say things would be fine.
We need to trade this guy in the off-season if we don't bolster our squad in free-agency. He's just going to eat up minutes that should be going to Clarkson and Russell. I hate watching Lou play.
To be honest I like watching him score. It's creative and interesting. I hate watching him play 35 minutes while D'Angelo plays 22 minutes, but that's not Lou's fault.
