I'm not seeing enough of them holding each other accountable on defense. If Larry wasn't a rook, I could see him yelling at Lou. Somebody's gotta have the fire to take charge and not let that mess slide.
I know it's easy to judge Lou on that one clip, and rightfully so, but he was frustrated at that point. Lou is not the kind of guy who typically quits on possessions and that's certainly NOT Harden defense. Harden wouldn't have even pretended to UNDERSTAND why he should be rotating. The reality is Lou works his tail off for us on both ends of the floor and that one possession doesn't change that. That being said, he should have rotated over definitely and even if he didn't then he should have boxed out Rondo. He failed to do both and if I had seen that as a coach, I'd have pulled him from the game. Other than that, he was one of the few guys trying hard in that first half so I won't hold this one play against him too much.
I'm really sick of hearing that word. Seriously why would you want this team to lose? Winning games and learning how to win will help these young kids immensely. Each win is a huge confidence booster for this young squad. Just sickens me how many fans want the team and are actually rooting for a loss.
I mentioned this once before, but I really like how well-spoken and thoughtful Lou is in his post-games. He's always engaged and doesn't mail it in. I've always been in his corner and I hope we keep him in our future plans.
I don't think the fans are rooting for losses, that tweet was just acknowledging how the franchise appears to be clearly tanking, and Lou was gunning to mess that up. I laughed. On Lou, that was ridiculous, he was on absolute fire. I don't like that we show no ability to mix it up and he wore out by the end, but oh well I guess, it was still fun. Still think when you have a guy that hot you use him as a decoy and to set up some other guys who will now be open a couple times, mix it up.
That tweet was clearly a joke. Not gonna go back and forthwith anyone about it (its late here in Florida and I'm sleepy). I laughed at it. Multiple times. That's all i got on it.
I know he probably was joking, but I've seen a number of people on Twitter and on another forum that clearly aren't joking and want the team to lose and get ticked off if the team looks like they're gonna win a game. Hell there is tank threads actually keeping track of other teams and their losses and actively rooting for that. That just sickens me.
Yeah and whoever that was with Mark Jackson mentioned that most Lakers fans support tanking for the pick or something to that extent. No we don't.
I think the average fan, maybe more casual fan (or at least a good little chunk) might read somewhere or hear on the radio that we can keep our pick if we suck, and they don't get to see the actual odds. They go oh ok, so we should root for losing then or it's a wasted season. But that doesn't seem to be the majority opinion here, or most other places I've been. Or at the games, where fans are clearly cheering for the win, not the tank. Best thing to do is ignore those rooting for the tank. As I said last season, we won't lose more games if I root for losses, so I'm going to root for wins.
I don't know about that. I've seen nobody on here who supports tanking, but pretty much everywhere else you go you hear people b****ing if we start winning.
When I see a guy like that in the zone, I can't help but be in awe of Kobe's 81. Not taking anything away from Lou, because he was balling, but damn, for everything he did, Kobe almost had twice as much.
