Mozzy is a free agent this summer. He could have gotten a big contract last summer, but bet on himself/the cap explosion... It'll be interesting to see what happens with him this summer after falling out of the rotation in Cleveland.

I look at what Enes Kanter got paid, and I think it would be a major mistake to overpay him. He had a nice playoffs last year, but if you can't bring that every night, you don't deserve the big bucks.

What's crazy is he'll almost certainly command 10 million this summer at least just given the market. I would have paid him last summer, but I don't want to be the team that gives him that much this summer. He's not a good enough play maker to be the kind of Center you need to be in Luke's offense. What makes Bogut valuable isn't just his defense/rebounding but his passing ability.

zaza pachulia is an underrated passer. really only about a 20-25mpg player, but if you plan on playing small a lot, he could be a starter. but I suppose this belongs in the FA thread.

Not sure if Luke and Channing played together. Yeah, I dont know if they will dump Frye, but it might be am option. He has the skill set we definitely need, and he is cheap.

I don't know exactly what is going on with Mosgov. Just fell off the map.

One name that keeps popping in my mind is Khris Middleton. I doubt the Bucks would dump him, but they'll have to pay Giannis and Parker eventually. Middleton is grossly underrated and on a great contract, which makes me feel this is a pipedream. He'd be a perfect fit.

I wouldn't mind getting Derrick rose as a dump he's still young only 27. Move dlo to sg and sign a defensive center.

    Rose
    dlo
    Ingram
    Randle
    biyombo

    jc 6th man.

That would be an exciting team to watch if everyone is healthy *cough Derrick Rose's knee cough*

I was thinking the same thing earlier today. We'd probably have to give up somebody, possibly Clarkson. Even still, I like it for two reasons:

    1) Gives us a player with name recognition that'll put butts in the seats post Kobe.
    2) Shows potential free agents that we're serious about winning sooner than later.

Only difference is I'd might go after Whiteside, Noah or Horford instead of Biyombo for floor spacing purposes.

i've gone back and forth on rose, but i've settled on "out", i think. i just don't like his mix of persona and ability. it's not quite as bad as james harden, but he's also been injured a lot more than harden. in short, i think it's hard to field a roster of guys who want to play the way you need to play to make derrick rose be derrick rose. almost like prime iverson. you needed a very special group to keep it all together. rose isn't good enough to mess with that. chicago knows.

I've gone back and forth on him too. So much of him depends on what we do to fill the center spot. I don't think I want to bring in Rose and take the chance on disrupting our growth unless we get a real good center that, coupled with Rose, might get us sniffing around the 8th seed. So if we go into next season with Black and Hibbert or something, just suck it up and worry about youth development exclusively. If Horford comes here, THEN maybe get Rose and a veteran sf to boot.

I certainly don't give up anything to get Rose. If Chicago wants to get rid of him, they better give us a pick or something. That contract is no easy pill to swallow.

If we gave up Clarkson for Rose man that would've been the dumbest trade we've made since the Nash debacle. You don't give up a promising young player for an over the hill Rose who's knees are pretty much gone. He can't stay healthy and he's not more than an average point guard even he is healthy. I'll take Clarkson over Rose right now any day of the week and I sure as hell will take him going forward.

Don't see how Middleton is a dump candidate....the Bucks think he's one of the cornerstones of that franchise along with Jabari and Giannis. He's not going anywhere.

As nice as he would be for this team, he's probably their 3rd best player. Monroe on the other hand...I could see the Bucks trying to move him. Not sure if I'd be interested. His contract will be pretty reasonable with the cap jump, but he's just a bad fit for this team on both ends of the floor.

To me, not that big of a surprise. A report that the Bulls are preferring to dump Rose instead of Butler. If I were the Bulls GM, I would do the same and just try to get the best deal I possibly could for Rose.

I don't know why this would never be considered, but Philly should just trade one of their many bigs (Okafor?) for Rose. They need help in the backcourt and Rose still may have enough star power to make Philly relevant again.

    Noel/Embiid
    Simmons/Saric
    Covington
    Stauskas
    Rose/Ish Smith

If they can sign a couple of NBA caliber (no more D-League Legends) SGs and SFs, like a Gerald Henderson/Aaron Afflalo/Kent Bazemore type.....they may contend for a 8th seed in the East next year.

I don't think you can get Okafor for Rose. Rose is damaged goods. You don't give up a future 17/9 center for the next 10 years for a one year flier on a broken down player.
