Iguodala would be great though I don't think Golden State would let him walk. He's a glue/good cop to their team. Durant is new and Green is volatile.

pj tuckers seems like a dump candidate and someone the lakers might consider. mike scott, too. neither is ideal, though. i might just roll with what's there and leave some wiggle room in case something interesting comes along.

I like Tucker. Can play both the 2/3. He'd be a good young replacement. Either way, I agree with you. Let's stretch and waive Swaggy and may add additional pieces with standouts from the preseason.

We need a defensive specialist that can scrap&guard 2/3's IMO.

He sorta held his own in the finals I'll give him that haha. If you have a motivated JR on your squad, he can be a difference maker.

We gotta dump or find a way to include in a trade candidates:

    Anthony Brown
Lou Williams(Like scoring ability, but we need a D-specialist as well In our 2)
    Swag
    Huertas(Calderon)
    Black(Due to Zu emergence)

    Thoughts?

I agree with all except the last two. Huertas is a good string PG, he won't see playing time unless injuries and he'll be fine. Black is a good small ball center and has a good history with Luke. While Zublocka has emerged I still think he has work to do. I do not want to throw him into the back up 5 role right away.

I feel you and I agree. But what happens if Black is included as a trade piece for say Cousins or any other Centers?

I also would like to see Clarkson at times when Russell goes to the bench, push the ball up court&play the combo guard role at the 1, Lou Will at the 2.

No minutes for Huertas/Calderon, but they do make peanuts so I understand if they're kept. Just rather try to move to try and net something back, throw in as part of a trade to make a trade work(or if other team needs depth), not to mention allows us to try and find some other diamond in the rough out there.

I liked his game a few seasons back... I don't know how much he has left in him. Just checked, he's only 29. Where will he fit? He'd be ideal at the 3 but that is Deng's with Ingram off the pine. Back up Randle at the 4? There's Nance...

I don't think there's a deal there, but it's just something to monitor. If Gay becomes disgruntled, the Kings could opt to attach a nice pick to him or something to get rid of him.

Even though we clearly overpaid for Deng. I would rather have everything he is about especially the mentorship part for Ingram than what Gay could provide Ingram. Deng is the best person and player for what we need considering what players we had a chance to get.

As of now...my view of the depth chart.

    PG - Russell, Calderon, Huertas
    SG - Clarkson, Williams
    SF - Deng, Ingram. Brown
    PF - Randle, Nance
    C - Mozgov, Black, Zubac

Two spots open.. Auguste for the 4 spot third string? Deng could slide there in a pinch. Maybe even Calderon and Russell could play together. There is some interchangeability for our crew. Zubac will see time but nothing major. Huertas...Brown...will have to settle for scraps. I'd like another 2...

I think you'll see a lot of Deng at the four this year. He was most effective there last season with the Heat. Luol isn't the defender he used to be and he's more capable of holding his own against fours than threes in today's NBA.

I liked the idea of Jabari on the team, but he was underwhelming in Summer League. I do like Auguste so I hope he's around in some capacity, maybe the D-League.

If Deng plays the 4...we could see this small ball line-up on the floor.

    PG - Russell
    SG - Clarkson
    SF - Ingram
    PF - Deng
    C - Randle/Black

I think that's got the potential to be our version of the Death Lineup from the Warriors. Obviously a baby version, but still our version.

I feel kinda iffy about Deng playing the 4 in the west. Can get away with it in the east but time will tell.

To me Brown is a 3rd string SG/SF, still have Young and only God knows what's gonna happen with him.

I'd take on Rudy Gay, what y'all think about him playing along side Ingram off the bench?

Not a lot of room. Larry Nance Jr. is the future of our backup 4 spot (maybe even starting spot) and Gay gets in the way of that. I'd prefer NOT to have him at this point now that we have Deng who fills the same position. The only way I take in Gay is if they dump him which means we get a pick too and even then I might try to just buy him out or something so he can go find a team that suits his needs more.
