    The dialogue went like this:

KG: "why you slap my a-- yo?"
LO: "I do whatever the f--- I wanna do."

This is when we started winning championships. LO and Pau developed some physical and mental toughness and the team was transformed. I remember Pau scoring an and-1 on Amare who tried trash talking him. Pau turns to Kobe and says "he can't f--- with me".

The league is not like that anymore. :(

The man almost died, seeing him come this far is amazing, looking forward to seeing him play in the Big 3.

    Mavs allegedly have interest

    :Crazyartest:

On a serious note though, he has really abused his body. No way he makes comeback IMHO. Does any remember this? I'm surprised he's not diabetic yet actually.

Between that and the drugs, you have to think he's shortened his life span on this earth a considerable amount. Glad to see he's in shape. Hopefully he's found a new purpose and direction for his life, as well as happiness. Might as well do what you love for as long as you can.

You have to remember, though, @sirronstuff, that this dude's are freaks to begin with and may just be genetically superior on all levels.

Agreed @ZenMaster . LO, in spite of everything he put himself through, is likely OK. Most damage he's sustained is likely in his brain in all seriousness. Other than that he's been blessed with resilient health. He's a survivor.

I clearly remember in a pregame from back in the day, where Phil was talking about how LO "drinks too much coffee" leaving him jittery and anxious during the games. Me and my sister, big coffee drinkers/snobs at the time, got a laugh out of that. Looking back at it now, it was likely cocaine. And I'm sure it Phil was aware of it, that was his way of calling him out in the media.

With all that said, seeing him recover makes me very happy. A personal favorite Laker.

...inspite of his off court misadventures, always have a soft spot for L.O.

One of my favorite Lakers of all times. Underachieved through his career. Had a talent close to KG level. A true versatile player, but with weak and unstable psyche that sort of stopped him from reaching his full potential. Could have been 20+13+6+1+1 stat line guy. Helped us to 3 Finals and 2 Cups, 6th man award totally deserved. He should have his number retired at Staples. Probably not a HOFer though.
