Lamar has been through so much... more than most go through in a life time. I really hope he pulls through.

I really don't get that at all. If your best friend dies from an overdose, wouldnt that push you in the opposite direction? A wake up call?

Well that's rational thinking, not addict thinking. One more death of someone close to him, apparently not good support around to help him, send you spiraling not looking for help. You need to hit rock bottom personally, seeing it in others and still feeling invincible probably doesn't do it, a serious wake up call. Hopefully this is that, and not the end.

^True, true. Hoping LO makes it out of this and its really his rock bottom where he can start building himself up.

I felt bad when we traded him and I know that has a lot to do with where his life went. I can't imagine how Mitch feels about this right now. Tough decisions when you're messing with people's lives, but that's part of the job.

Any way, I hope Lamar pulls through man. This is just truly terrible and it pains me to say that this felt almost inevitable after 2012.

My first thought too. I think they did. They had cameras follow him around constantly like vultures in the desert. They were in his face for every major story about him. The drug house with his friend, the divorce, meeting with his ex-wife occasionally, and now this. It's unbelievable how disgusting those people are. I thought journalism did away with that kind of bull****, but it's come back in full force thanks to social media.

To be fair, the woman who owns/operates the brothel says there's a LOT of celebrities and athletes that go there to just get away and blow off some steam. He's not nearly the only one.

    Indeed

Kobe didn't look happy at all tonight, and reports are he left the arena without talking to the media for "personal reasons", I wonder if he and Metta are allowed to visit LO.

How are you supposed to play a game when your brother is laying in the hospital? No wonder they looked so off.

Man that is depressing, seriously depressing. I don't want this to end like this. And not to put blame on anyone, but so many players and friends of his tweeting prayers, couldn't any of these people tried harder to get him some help. Not putting blame, genuinely wondering, people had to know he needed serious help.

Crap... Bracing myself as a devoted Laker fan for the inevitable based on that report. Crap...crap...crap. :(

MWP, Bryant and Walton have been affected... Others I am thinking of are Fisher, Gasol and Jackson. That crew has fought together and are close.

Did I read that right? Death by overdose on herbal Viagra could be the headline if he doesn't make it?

He's obviously hasn't been in a good place. I hope friends and family can pull him through and stay with him through this time.
