They showed some of this on TWC and I thought it was so interesting how close in height those two are. Cap is 7'2" and Lamar didn't feel like more than 2-3 inches shorter than him. The Lakers people always used to say Lamar was closer to 7 feet than he wanted people to think he was.

Cap do got that hunch though, comes with the age. You can tell he's got a couple inches on LO but Odom definitely is closer to 7' than he is to the 6'10" he was always listed at, much like Durant and Garnett.

Yeah, Odom is really 6-11, Pau is 7-1, Garnett is 7-0, Dirk 7-1, Durant was listed @ 6-9, but is really 6-10.

However, most players are shorter than listed. Kobe being a good example. Not to mention Nate Robinson, who is not taller than 5-7, yet is listed at 5-9.

I'm surprised how Lamar is treated like a hero everywhere.

He is a nice person and all but he is without any doubt a tool. He has kids and has nothing better to do than spending 75K in a brothel over a couple of days in Vegas with a couple of ugly looking chicks while using drugs to almost his death. I really have to say money can't save stupid.

Who's treating him like a hero? Ever heard of compassion? It's a basic human emotion.

Hey, his ex-wife isn't that hideous, and she's nowhere near big enough to count as *two* people.

I don't know about being treated as a hero, but many are simply happy that he didn't die. Most people don't care about his personal life, aren't judging him over what they hear from the main stream media and are celebrating and paying homage to the man for what he gave in his days as a Laker.

TMZ reporting that Odom is back on the hard stuff. Family tried to intervene, but he refuses rehab. I don't know if we should believe it or not, but it's being thrown out there.

    Hopefully it's not true.

Same old...same old. Sad truth is that Odom will never and cannot change. Lost in life and bent on self-destruction.

"Nothing will happen to me. Look how I survived last time."

Love the guy and I hope for the best, but if this is true, the doctors shouldn't even waste the resources helping him the next time he OD's...

Man, every time this gets bumped I think I'm gonna read that he's died. Such a sad turn from what many of us thought would be a rock bottom wake up call for him. And if that wasn't, I'm afraid nothing will be.

A favorite...[sigh] I really can't add or say anything at this point. Man refuses help, doesn't acknowledge he has issues. Teammates, friends, coaches and fans want Odom to get it together but clearly in denial. Until he gets over himself...these same type of reports will continue to happen.
