And yet the Lakers won playing BIG. Trends come and go, at least Steph and Klay won based on talent and did it playing some seriously impressive basketball. Nothing wrong with that, they didn't bend the rules or play the refs, they just happened to be two of, if not the two best shooters in NBA history who happened to play for the same team in both their primes and used that to their advantage. What would you rather have them do? Drive to the basket and not play to their strengths? BTW, the Warriors probably don't win any championship if it wasn't for the perfect big to compliment the splash bros in Green and some fantastic role players. If other teams/players want to try to copy what they did, good - more easy opponents for us. BTW, are you implying Kobe didn't want to be the hero?
Oh no ... Kobe wanted to be the hero , Shaq was a hero in some games , D FISH , Robert horry those all had hero games ... but they played the game , they didn’t go for circus shots when game was on the line ... just cuz u can make a circus 3 doesn’t mean u should take it when you have 15 sec on the clock ... the point is no longer to make the shot ... the point is to get a foul and shoot 3 FTs .
That may very well be true for some of the new generation of stars, but that's hardly Klay's or Steph's fault.
I mean define fault . It’s becoming a trend , kids are leaving college after 1 or 2 yrs just because they can shoot 3s .. water down league, but fans love it I guess and Mike Breen can always yell BAAAANG ! And that sells ..
Zubac with the knee injury too... With how Ayton is playing and their lack of front court depth, that might be the final nail.
and i'm weirdly glad we got out early before more guys had more injuries that were more serious. hopefully, the break helps our guys. not sure what to tell the clips/kawhi about their contract negotiations...awkward...
If the refs didn't screw up both ends of the last few games, the Clippers would have had a legitimate chance at winning it all without Kawhi Leonard.
I don't understand how the Clippers are allowed to keep Kawhi's injury hidden. This makes no sense to me.
