O'Neal dismissed Mitchell as a player that is not on the next level... Now Mitchell is tearing it up. O'Neal will then say that he motivated Mitchell. Predictable and boring.

George with a hard foul at the end of the game that leaves Mitchell with a slight (?) limp. Cheap, unnecessary.

Dallas has Doncic and....??? Mitchell has a competent crew that can support (Clarkson, O'Neal, Bogdanovich, Ingles). Yes, and the Stifle Tower at the backend. I really hope Utah takes one at Staples then finish them off in Game 5. Coach Snyder, please figure out that zone that got those clowns back in the game.

All this and no Conley...? :)

I like watching Mitchell play. I hope he recovers and stays hot through the Finals.

If you can't force Gobert out of the paint , you're toast .

The unavaibility of Ibaka is a significant loss for the Floppers in this matchup .

but mitchell can shoot. if he starts getting 20 fts on touch fouls, fold up the tents!

and i think someone was arguing with me in this thread that the clippers were deeper than utah. i disagreed.

he and chuck are wrong so often. i get that they're there mostly for comic relief, but it's pretty embarrassing that they seem to have such a tenuous grasp on what's going on in the league. happens with announcers sometimes, too, though most of them at least do some homework and watch some games that they aren't actively covering.

yeah, luka's got to be watching this and thinking that if he switched his supporting cast with mitchell's, they sweep the clippers. i'm telling you--i think luka will sign his extension and ask for a trade within a couple years.

i think utah would trade having conley healthy for the clips having the husk of ibaka healthy. conley was an allstar this year!

It looked innocuous at first... Mitchell was cutting near the foul line and George tried to impede his route by hitting him below the waist. Mitchell appeared to have worst of it.

Gobert is mobile enough to recover to the perimeter. Case in point: during the end of Game 1 during a scramble that he was able to badly affect Morris' shot to tie the score. Deserves the DPOY hardware.

They tried with Batum at the 5... Got a trey on one possession, missed another but otherwise ineffective.

dantoni ran gobert off the floor a couple times, right? but the clips may not have the personnel.

Me watching Ballmer have an apoplectic fit of joy when the Clips briefly took the lead, then watching him as they Clipped it away at the end...

Yeah Conley is important too .. Not saying Utah leading 2-0 deserves an asterisk because of Ibaka absence .

He's just the only Clippers option to limit Gobert impact , at least a little bit

it's possible...though i'm not sure he can't be exploited as badly as zubac on defense. will his three point shooting make up for it? would utah bother to cover when every three ibaka takes is a shot that leonard isn't taking? we may find out as the series progresses.

That cheap foul was so unnecessary. The game was already over basically. Eff Playoff Pee. As the Utah crowd said “overrated!”

Yeah Luka didn't close them Clips out but the Jazz are the best team in the league all season so there is hope that they'll fare better.

the mavs had two out of body shooting nights to go up 2-0, and the jazz have only had 1, so that's a positive. but the jazz games were at home, where they're notoriously good. will not be at all surprised to see the series 2-2 for game 5. i wonder if utah's planning on that and may just rest conley even if he's feeling good in the hopes that he'll be closer to 100% for the last 3 games of the series.

another interesting wrinkle from the box score: leonard played less than 40 minutes in both games after playing a lot of 40+ minute games in the dallas series (all but one of them).

Clips are getting good shots and some of the shots Utah hit were crazy. Could see the Clips making this series again because of this but not if Conley comes back.

With a healthy Conley I don't think they can run a zone effectively on the Jazz like they did last night to get back in the game

Wow, I completely forgot about Conley. How the hell did the Jazz get Gobert, Mitchell, Clarkson, Bogdan, Ingles, and Conley all on the same team? Speaking of Conley... sure would love him on the Lakers.

Ibaka is out for the season after a season-ending back surgery. I bet Clippers would love to have Trezz back right about now...

Jazz are good and better than I thought.
