people act like the clippers are unbeatable and we have no shot.

i agree it wont be a cake walk, but the clippers lose games just like everyone else. lost to philly and minnesota in this last 7 days

Clippers are 1-2 since the trade deadline, lost to the Sixers tonight. Maybe they need some help at the wing to guard those Sixers players same as us. Also, had we lost to Minny like they did, by getting destroyed when they didn’t have Wiggins and Russ hadn’t joined the team yet, it would have been a “season is over” type loss around here.

For sure, I mean our wins were a "season is over" vibe here for a few posters.

Sixers are impressive at home , don't know why they suck so much on the road .

Also if Morris is going to take minutes away from Harrell , I'm all for it

boston, too. if you watch boston play at home, they get like ALL the calls. i watched them play houston for about half a game last night, and they got nothing from the refs. i know george was complaining about the officiating after the clips' loss, and i know some laker fans thought we weren't treated well in philly, either. people point to the large margin of victory and say officiating can't be blamed, but i disagree. i remember that finals game against boston in 2008 when leon powe (!) outshot our entire team from the FT line and boston beat us by a thousand i was like--i really think that fair officiating would have prevented a blowout.

Yeah he shot like 13 FTs in Game 2 , we came back and were a D-Fish reach away on Wheelchair to have the chance to tie or win the game.

Even Bill Simmons admitted it was BS .

Back to the Floppers , I like this Morris addition for ... us , he thinks he's better than he really is and Rivers isn't historically good at identifying the right rotations/closing lineups.

I still think they would have been better with SGA and Gallo instead of George too

But by accounts behind the scenes, Lakers would have landed Leonard then.

i think its pretty obvious they traded for morris just to keep him away from the lakers. they already have athletic wing guys and they went out and traded for another? they didn't need him at all

i still think kawhi would've signed with the lakers had they not been able to pull off the PG trade. him signing with the clippers was completely reliant on them acquiring PG. he wasn't going back to toronto

I watched the 76ers/Clips game last night and the Clips are not impressive at all.

They should have focused on trying to get a big instead of another wing. They were getting owned all night on the boards. Zubac is too slow to guard today's mobile bigs.

Also, Morris got into a little spat with Embiid while "guarding" him. It was funny because it is fake tough guy crap. He reminds me of Beverley and the reputation he has. Morris is very average. IMO, we likely dodged a bullet (contrary to what others think on this forum) with this guy. I wouldn't have given up DG and/or Kuz for that guy.

PG had an off game and they were still in it until the very end because guys like shamet and lou picked up the slack

i'm still annoyed we dumped lou when we had him on a reasonable deal (which he's basically still on after extending). that 8 million was never put to good use, and the first round pick didn't yield a player nearly as impactful. hated that trade when it happened, still hate it. that was magic's 1st one, right? man, am i glad he's out of the FO.

Yeah, Lou would certainly solve a few of our current team issues.

I'm gonna say it, and in spite of Ballmer, West, Doc, Kawhi and George it's still true.

    Clippers gonna Clip.

i hope so. but i feel like ballmer buying them was like when cuban bought the mavs. i think they may be here to stay now. i'd say we should have been more proactive in terms of staying ahead of the curve in the front office hires, but tbh, that change in ownership was going to pay dividends eventually. i still hope they just move to seattle and we can have a good franchise back there instead of in our back yard.

Yes, the "off game" to me looked like he was well defended. He was struggling from the length that I could see. Kawhi is so strong he can bully guys. PG's game isn't the same so he struggled with the height of the Sixers. I watch those TNT games from the backboard view as part of the NBA app just to see what is really going on (I know totally geeked out!) Embiid played only 28 minutes and is still dealing with his dislocated finger. The Clippers will struggle with bigs. I think if Embiid was full strength he would've dominated anyone that was put on him from the Clippers. He had a pedestrian game by his standards.
